The team played with two 7 footers for most of the regular season. Our best defensive lineup was with Duncan/Splitter.

Thompson fouling out of Game 1 was probably the main reason we won the game.

they are open on most of them. they are playing simple basketball. drive and kick out. while parker is driving, flopping, looking for fouls. or driving and allowing himself to get trapped baseline. it'snot hard. the heat play the same way. we just can't defend the screens. if the warriors were this good they would have been a top 3 seed, but this type of play only works with teams that allow u to play how u want to play. as i've said before, we probably have some of the worst defending guards in the league.
Those three missed 3's in a row by Green probably shot his confidence until next year.

You would in think they could figure that out now. But nope, lets keep going under screens. Even if they fight through the screen they're doing horrible at it and they should know by now if thompson or curry is getting a screen behind the 3 pt line he's going to shoot it 10 times out of 10, have someone hedge off their guy on the strong side and get in his in face, I'd rather see green or leonard come over and get in curry's face at the 3 pt line forcing him to pass it down low and let duncan contest whatever jumper or layup they're left with, come the on figure it out.
You can all and moan about the spurs defense you want . But when dudes go 6-7 from 3 ala MJ in the 92 finals against the blazers, you tip your cap, say nice game, and move on to play another day.
Looks like Clay Thompson had the at ude that if he didn't foul out that they would have won game one. Him and the Warriors certainly came out like it.
Spurs came out like, hey, we won the last game, the Warriors will buckle, we just have to show up.
Spurs just got a reality check. They need confidence. They have to get some confidence in themselves at half time and come out aggressive.
Bonner off too. The dumb er Pop still hasn't learned his lesson with Bonner. Seriously, Pop should be canned for starting Bonner. Why would you not start Diaw if you didn't want to start Splitter?

Gotta hope they just cool down as the series goes on. The only thing I am thinking is they will come back down to earth. They are not OKC last year this team right now is playing waaaay above their ceiling. Still a long way to go in this game and the series.
