Own up, son. Own up to the Lakers being the biggest failure in sports history.

Once you do, we can once again resume civil discourse and substantial basketball discussion.
I'm a man of integrity. But in this case, I just can't do it. 8 was worse. If the Lakers were healthy all year and still got skunked in the 1st round, I'd agree 100%. That's not the case though. During 8, you guys were healthy and heavily favored by 99.998% of the experts. The 2013 Lakers were not and lost as expected - given the cir stances.

Lol, the spurs keep giving Duncan contracts because they know they won't be getting another superstar in 30 years. Lol @ kawhi leonard.
    2008: lost 4-1 to lakers
    2009: lost 4-2 to ?
    2010: swept 4-0 to sund
    2011: upset by 8th seed
    2012: backdoor swept by okc
    2013: ??!!

Furthermore, upsets happen all the time in the NBA. , the Grizzlies even TANKED to play the Spurs because they knew they had favorable matchups. No one was really surprised when they beat the Spurs. Then they went on to take OKC to 7 games. Those Grizzlies were a very, very good team. The only way it would be a failure on the level you think it is if the Grizzlies were this years Bulls to the Spurs Heat. But I understand you'll keep playing up the seeding bull because you don't want to admit to yourself the Lakers failed much, much worse than any Spurs team in history.

That said, never before has the most hyped, most expensive team in NBA history failed to win one measly playoff game, much less lose every game by an average of 20 points.

Play the injury card all you want, but the reason the Lakers were injured was a direct correlate of the Lakers failing from the FO to the players on the court.

The Lakers set a new precedent for failure, and you're just going to have to deal with it. Not one basketball fan/analyst on earth who isn't a Lakers fan would consider the '11 Spurs a bigger failure than the '13 Lakers.

    Own up.

The lakers starting five was 0-7 when they played together..if they stayed healthy only thing they might have challenged would be the bobcats and 73 sixers records..kill yourself...

Yes, because him being surrounded by d-leaguers had nothing to do with it. You know we will win another championship before you do

Individually he got outplayed by Bonner an then he quit on his team.

That has zero to do with being sorrounded by d-leaguers as you say.

Yeah, and if San Antonio counted their "best rodeo" banners they'd be at like 12. But for some reason you people count what happened in Minnesota 50 years ago as your "accomplishments". At least RefKC has disowned '79. There's probably not a more classless set of fans besides the methheads, but they do have a modi of dignity compared to Faker fan. When are you going to move all of those Minny lakes to SoCal to accompany those 5 banners?

Any franchise that spends $120mil on a team and predicts 73 wins is expected to back up the hype with a championship, it has less to do with the Lakers and more to do with the hype machine, tbh....
