Great start, but still a long way to go in this series. The interior D was superb, and the O was humming, just a pleasure to watch.

I'm glad our starters got rest, and we didn't have to trot out any gimmicks which means they're still up Pop's sleeve.

As for those calling Finals and that kind of BS now, check your heads and your history. We need to win 3 more to get to the Finals, and we looked pretty good in the first 2 games of the WCFs last year...

This is what it looks like when the offense and defense click at the same time. It's damn scary, hope they can keep it up until the end of the playoffs.

games like this will motivate Memphis to show up next game. Spurs need to be wary and bring high intensity at the start of next game. If Parker doesn't shoot lights out and run all over the floor at the start of this game, it could have been wildly different.

yap Parker with the initiative and he keyed the early burning on

Definitely. Memphis will be ready for Game 2. Hopefully the rest helps Duncan, Manu, and Kawhi and they can have an offensive explosion in Game 2.

Timmy said this series isn't going to be pretty - but heck, this game was about as pretty as they come!
yep Timmay was wrong this game was as pretty as Stacey Dash and Sofia Vergara to us Spurs fans

Tuesday will be a huge game. Short rest between this game and Tuesday. If Spurs win on Tuesday, they don't play again until Saturday and I think they have a great chance of stealing that game. Tuesday will be a big game that the Spurs need to win.

Best all-around game in a while and the best Spurs playoff performance since Round 2 last year vs Clips. I hope they keep it up.

Great that the starters for the most part only played half a game and cruised to the win. The Grizzlies are a good teams dm very solid but they're weak in areas the Spurs can punish them and strong in areas the Spurs can now defend well when the Spurs are playing focused and intense. Diaw/Splitter/Duncan are tough defensively and on the other end the Grizzlies don't have a shot blocker at all.

GS was a tough matchup because they had the interior defense and shot blocking to go with extremely good shooters, but this series neither of those are present based on the season and playoff games.

    Adjustments for the next game:
    1- Don't leave Pondexter open
    2- That's it

This was definitely the best the Spurs have looked in a while, but Memphis will make adjustments.

Tim and Manu realistically didn't play that well. Thankfully Z-Bo was the worst all star player on the floor.

Also can Green and Bonner sustain that 3 point shootout they had today?

Big moment in the game: Bayless gets the showboating dunk after a steal to make it a 6 pt lead for the Spurs, and after the time out Manu hits the 3. A couple minutes later it was again a 16 pt lead and the Spurs were closing the 3rd.

Wow...did not expect such a blowout, but we'll take it! We just dropped 105 on the so-called #1 defense in the NBA!

I love not playing a ing incredibly hot jump shooting team. We're so much better suited for this type of game.
Called it. ing Simmons with excuses. But if they had Gay... but Calderon... but I'm a got.
