Spurs are a much better team. I'd put my money on them if it wasnt for the fix. The NBA would be devastated if Lebron lost.
the pacers got a beatdown in game 7, nothing to do with the refs
game was over before that FT differential ballooned to 18

Game was over when they took out Hibbert with like, 7 minutes left in the second and Ray Allen got on fire.
Free throws didn't matter that much when the Pacers couldn't score at all.
Wigger coach sat George and Hibbert at the same time during that stretch and Allen didn't so much catch fire, they just stopped defending him. All 3 of those were wide open, nobody in the zipcode looks. Breakdown and wigger coaching cost them the game
Most of Miami's 38 freethrows were from obvious and incessant fouling by Indiana in the 4th quarter.
The free throws weren't that big of a deal, the early and strategically placed fouls on George an Hibbert were. It's not like they were needed. Miami would have won the game regardless, I.e. what the refs did was superfluous.
I mean, guys. This isn't like a game where Miami went into the 4th behind and suddenly got 10+ FTa in the 4th alone. This is something else entirely where the two main players of the pacers were taken out of the game unnecessarily in a blowout win. Dumb move by the sterns, tbh.
Someone's salty that their ty take backfired on them, tbh....
Not as pathetic as Mavfan still crying about the refs in 2006 despite all the bull calls they got against the Spurs that year, tbh....
Spurs shot more FT's than the Mavs in 2006.![]()
Not saying the thing was rigged but to extend the series and make more money.
Free throw attempts the whole series don't seem like an issue to me. Not looking at the numbers, but I'm guessing the Heat shot a lot more jumpers than the Pacers in the first 6 games while the Pacers probably attacked the offensive glass more. Those two things alone can skew the foul and free throw attempt numbers. Last night, LeBron and Wade especially attacked the paint and attacked Hibbert with aggressive drives to the basket. But I also saw Bosh and Chalmers get into the lane aggressively as well. Seems like last night, they made a very concerted effort especially early on to attack the rim. That mindset and approach should lead to more foul calls and free throws. Now you add the fact the the Pacers were turning the ball left and right and not even getting shots off to get foul calls, plus a blowout late where the Pacers were just committing stupid fouls to either stop a break or stop the clock or delay the inevitable, the free throw discrepancy isn't very surprising at all.
I wouldn't say the refs have been good in the series. Every game will have a fair share of questionable if not blatantly wrong calls. But I don't think the officiating made a big difference in the outcome of the series, for either team, in any of the games. Poor or inconsistent officiating is part of the human element in sports. It's like arguing about strikes and balls in baseball or where the ball is marked in football. is just part of the game.
Hibbert could have picked up his 4th and 5th fouls on 3 occasions before they actually called him for his 4th and 5th fouls..if they wanted to remove him, they could have done the job a lot earlier, he was fouling all over the place(like he did all series)..
Stern wins either way - Heat lose they play the card of the come back kids for next year - Spurs win he can put a cover on all the BS crap he has marketed as fair compe ion through the years. Most likely zebras will be in fix only game 7 although could be game 6 like Thunder - Spurs last year or the Kings - LAL of years past.....
What do you mean "either way?" Both of the scenarios you gave are the same scenario.
Heat losing and Spurs winning is the same thing, dumbass.
That comes w the lack of consistency with the calls. Why suddenly call Hibbert tighter in this game vs the other games? What about George? Why not Lebron? Why not bird man? Why not wade?
this argument works both ways..
Why was Hibbert allowed to get away with murder all series?..
Why did Lebron foul out in game 4 with his 4th, 5th and 6th fouls all being controversial calls?..
Not really. Hibber was allowed to played a certain way an entire series, but suddenly wasn't in the most important one of all. That is lack of consistency. And no, I don't see hibbert as being deserving of more fouls in the other games.
As for Lebron, those were horrible calls and it only lend credence to the league tryng to have as many heat games as possible.
Stern extends it to a game 7 to maximize revenue then ensures they make it to the finals. Its not rocket science tbh
