Over in the NCCA, we still had the Southwest Conference, The BIG 8, Penn State was still an independant. Arizona and Arizona State were still in the WAC, FSU and Miami were small potatoes. Ernie Davis was at Syracuse. Bullet Bob Hayes was stil in high school in Jacksonville. Ara was still at ND.
