No that is not how the Spurs operate.
This is all done by Popovich by design. Popovich knows that the Heat will be more focused tonight but at the same time he has to get the Spurs more focused and equally desperate as the Heat. A Parker injury will definitely wake every Spur player up, they will up the intensity so we dont have a game 2 repeat.
Also imagine if the Lebron was injured? I dont think a team would up the intensity, imo it would decrease it because they know they have more of a cushion. I think Pop is playing this TP injury to get the Heat thinking they have a cushion to decrease their intensity, even if its just slightly. With that said, I believe Tony is going to play out of his mind tonight. I dont believe he is 100% but I believe he is capable of having a great game tonight.
No that is not how the Spurs operate.
Disagree, the Spurs going 10-10 down the stretch was also done intentionally somewhat. Pop had something up his sleeve while that happened. We have gone 14-3 since and this is against playoff teams.
I believe Parker will have a great game tonight.
He did feel something but definitely will play and play well tonight. The Spurs did good to make Miami wonder, though.
I hope so...
It's extremely elaborate though, something only a borderline crazy coach would try to pull off. Although it is genius when you think about it. The Spurs signal that Parker is hampered by injury. The Spurs shooters just burned the entire Heat. So the Heat obviously want to stay home when guarding the shooters and let Chalmers/Cole single cover Parker. They have extra confidence in this plan because Parker will be slowed down by injury. IF this was all a ruse, then Parker can seize the opportunity to have a huge game. Again, I doubt that this was some elaborate maneuver but Parker can still have a big game if the injury doesn't bother him too much.
omg you guys are terrible
so Parker and the Spurs are faking an injury to with Heat ?? We are so CIA that TP missed the training just because Spurs play CIA

I hope so. The Big 3 are in pre season mode. Can't keep expecting Danny Green to shoot lights out. Or can we?
It's not fake, but all the vagueness is on purpose.
Yes that's why he left play and went to the locker room during an NBA finals game. It's all orchestrated smh
it's unbelievable the amount of myths you guys can weave by yourselves.

I'll BE READY TO GO!
yeah, and the snozzberries taste like snozzberries
I don't think the smokescreen would work for long. If Parker scores 8-10 points in the first quarter and makes layups, jump shots, etc., all that, the Heat will immediately know he's fine and won't be in a mental lull about it at all.
mmm alison brie
big risk to loose tony for the rest of the serie , should play him only if we are in big trouble.
TP will be fine, he is a warrior and has played with worse injuries including a broken bone. Not sure that is public knowledge so I won't elaborate further..
He'd better because if he can't penetrate, the Spurs won't get those same open looks from three.
Yes please.
Wish I knew how to use the Sig features. 500 by 100 pixels? Probably need a certain software right?
If that's going to be your sig, then I'll gladly throw you a link. Just insert the image.

Billmc helped me out just now. Thanks though.
This is a tactic used weekly by Bill Bellicheck. Well done, Pop. This gets CoJo amped for the game and makes the Heat come out a little less balls-to-wall, hopefully.
Smokescreen im telling yall
