This is where the Spurs could have used Stephen Jackson. Thanks a lot Pop. I agree with everyone. Manu needs to hang it up. The only way I'll forgive him is if he shows up for Game 5 and the Spurs end up winning the le. Tiago played like a complete scrub too. Soft as* little bit*h can't go up with two hands and dunk. Spurs better not resign him Go after DH12, Al Jefferson, or David West.

Dude is still good enough for an NBA bench, but he no longer can be your sixth man. He has been dreadful from 3pt line. My guess he is shooting 15% for the playoffs.

Manu is my favorite player EVER I literally love him but yeah he just isn't the same no one can beat father time win Or lose this series let's not forget what he has done for this organization he is one of the best spurs EVER hey he is 35 years old with his style of play what do you expect. Tim Duncan played awful too though tbh I still love Manu though.

Manu is my favourite player. And I am actually borderline delusional that he will always compete. But truth be said, this was a complete shocker of a game by him. Never thought I would say this, but Manu actually hurt the Spurs rather than helping them. At times he looked like the worst player on the court. Unimaginable.

Thankfully, knowing Manu, and the fact that he is just 1 year removed from a spectacular show in the Olympics, I don't think he will play this bad again in the series. Spurs need 2 wins and I think Manu will be pivotal atleast in one.

He's not completely washed up but his decisions are ty.. He doesn't have the step to take that behind the back dribble as much as he does anymore, usually gets stopped or picked. He can still hit a shot when he decides to take something makeable, too many times he's shooting 3's for no reason with a guy a foot away contesting. If he'd just split the difference between that 3 and a drive and pull up for a 15 footer he'd get some semblance of a rhythm. It's sad but he's just trying to do too much and he needs to play within himself. I agree though, after this season is over he needs to retire.

Maybe Stephen Jackson had a point about him being better than Ginobili. Manu ing sucks. Has for a while now.
    SJAX sucked worse.

He's finished. However, our guys played soft, particularly Tim. Stripped, blocked, short d-cking easy shots at the rim. But Manu is finished and it hurts to watch...

Love Manu but for the love of Christ, he is murdering us . The ing re ed jump passes on every ing pick and roll are killing my soul. The random, contested, long threesaare sapping away my life. The ole defense is frying my synapses.

I just wish Manu Ginobili were alive to see this.

    Not Bill Walton@NotBillWalton1h
Manu Ginobili is still struggling. A man rapidly losing his hair hasn't performed this badly since Bruce Willis' bad acting in Hudson Hawk.

    Michael Wilbon@RealMikeWilbon1h
This used to be Ginobili time, the end of the quarter...but not anymore...Wonder if the could use Stephen Jackson right about now...

    Bryan Gutierrez@BallinWithBryan59m
Amber Alert has now been announced for one Manu Ginobili.

    3030@jose3030now
    Manu Ginobili's Finals? 7.3 PPG, 28.6 % FG, 76.9 % FT, 20% 3PT, 2.5 RB, 3 AS, 2.8 TO in ~24.6 MN

    Dwain Price@DwainPrice24s
Is Manu Ginobili hurt? Or is he on the verge of retiring? I've never seen him play so bad in multiple games. He's been a non-factor.

    Will Goodwin@willGOOD_WIN14m
BAD IDEA ----> RT @EyeOnBasketball: Duncan says the Spurs need Manu Ginobili to be more selfish.

    Brian Mahoney@briancmahoney57m
Not even sure it's an exaggeration if I said this was the worst game I could ever remember seeing Ginobili play.

    Mike Gutierrez@Micgeee57m
Ginobili, if you can hear me, WE miss you!!!!!!!

    Aaron Goldhammer@HammerNation1957m
I've seen nothing to tell me Ginobili deserves another minute. He's been beyond awful

    Mo Twister@djmotwister57m
Ginobili and Spiltter are ruining Neal and Green's series.

    San Antonio Problems@SanAntonioProbz55m
Whenever you're ready to show up to Finals Ginobili, we're here waiting. 

As I mentioned in my postgame report, Manu Ginobili has failed to score double-figures in seven of his last nine games.

    Skip Bayless@RealSkipBayless58m
I have never seen Manu Ginobili play so poorly in such a big game.

    Jake Ortiz@Jakeo3613m
Manu Ginobili was impotent on offense & Splitter is a complete waste of space~ Stephen A. Smith on San Antonio Spurs offense tonight...

    Joe Williams IV@joewilli45m
"The only reason I'm saying Ginobili gave us almost nothing instead of nothing is because Tiago Splitter was actually worse" @stephenasmith

    Zach@zach_theman1m
Manu Ginobili needs to retire at the end of the season and ill leave it at that

    tom mckenna@tmckenna12m
Ginobili four games in could absolutely be accused of some 1919 White Sox level scandal.

    Ra'Quan O'Bryant@RaQuanO30s
What is wrong with Manu Ginobili...That's all I have to say

    Craig Rundle@CoachRundlenow
The way Ginobili is playing now he would be non- compe ive even in a 50 and over league. Playing old and slow.

    Basketball Analyst@MGTHEFRESHGUY16s
Where is Manu Ginobili? There's an amber alert for him tonight in San Antonio. He's missing.

It's sad. But I still have some hope. If he gives one good game, it may be enough. But damn if he can even give a good minute now.

I honestly don't want him back unless it's for the minimum. Forget using the room exception; save that for someone who's going to be in the rotation. Re-sign Neal/Splitter or look for a marquee free agent. Right now, the Spurs just can't depend on him anymore, and that won't change even if he can bounce back in the next 2-3 games.

I refuse to believe he's done. He's talented enough, even if hobbled, to play so much better. He's just faltering at the moment.

Wtf? More like 5-6 mil total for 2 seasons
Its a difference of a $1-2 million spread out over two seasons. Not sure why you're getting worked up over that. The Spurs are going to have plenty of cap (probably $10-12 million) given how unsightly Splitter has been.
