Why? He's pure defense, and almost no offense. You gotta understand, he averages about 17 ppg but he handles the ball a ton.
    Almost no offense?

Howard averaged 17 ppg because he played next to the greatest chucker of all-time. Put him on basically any other team and he averages 20+ ppg on 60% shooting. Pair him with an elite swingman who is willing to share the rock and who can handle closing games (i.e. Harden) and that is a very solid combo tbh. Youre either stupid or delusional if you think Howard isnt capable of more and that he wasnt being held back by the Kobe system in LA.

Or put him in Dallas wit Dirk playing a wealthy man's Ryan Anderson + Rick Carlile as coach n you have a team that will be better than last years Lakers by a lot.

My ass. You had that won, daddy-O. You should be hunting 6 this evening, and you know I'm right. You had James beaten & beat.

You have to live with that for the next year, & perhaps longer.

    Let us proceed...
We got beat by the best player in the world and perhaps the potential GOAT. I could live with that, tbh.

He didn't beat ya. You had him beaten & beat. And somehow/someway you managed to it up.

No more pristine standing for you. You didn't always win. But, you'd never lost.

Gone. Poof! & you did it to yourself.

That's price you have to pay for being a fan of a contending team. You should know that, Cubby, you're a Laker fan. Your team has 16 rings, but you have to admit you've gone through a ton of disappointments and pain just to get to number 16. It's the first time the Spurs lost in the Finals, so it's normal for some fans to feel terrible. Besides, I'm not sure if any team in Finals history lost the way the Spurs did. If you ask me, I prefer the ring, but knowing my team brought it 100 percent in the Finals even if they fell short, I could live with that.

not gonna lie, KillaKobe is probably the only Lakers poster I respect because he has legit things to say. Other Laker posters just troll the out of this board so even if they do have some truth or knowledge to bring, I'm always not sure if they're serious or just trolling like they always do

Dwight has no offensive moves tbh. If you count put backs, alley oops then sure. He was the main guy in Orlando. The whole system was catered to him. Dude couldn't even hit the 25 point average barrier.

He was surrounded by 4 shooters who luckily made all their shots on their way to the 2009 Finals. When they were checked, the buck stopped for Orlando.

Id take Howard over Marc Gasol 10 times out of 10 tbh. As for Timmy, there aint no shame in not being as good as a borderline Top 5 player of all-time imo.

So what? Timmy averaged over 25 ppg like once in his career. He may not have a polished post game but hes a freak...his athleticism and size alone make him a dominant post presence that demands double teams, and thats the reason Orlando ever had any success. Those same great shooters wouldnt have had the type of looks they had if he wasnt in the middle. People are just stupid like that, they take the most recent great/bad year and forget the past. Dwight is alot better than what he showed in LA especially when hes getting a healthy dose of touches instead of playing alongside the greatest chucker of all-time. Prior to playing with the chucker he was unanimously considered a top 5 player and the best center in the NBA (other than Shaq who chose DeAndre Jordan lol).

Dwight for his career barely averages 18 he only played with Kobe one year. At his best he averaged 22 doubt he gets back to that. 20, maybe but that would mean he is being force fed those hoops tbh.

He averaged over 20 ppg four of the last five seasons before playing with Kirby. This year was his lowest average since he was a 21 year old sop re. He doesnt need to be 'force fed' to average 20...I mean if you consider the touches he was getting in Orlando to be force feeding than what would you consider what Kobe does putting up 20-25 shots per game? Does Kobe force feed himself?

Duncan yes, but, not even Marc Gasol is worthy. He took his Waterloo like he couldn't wait. He's his brother's brother that's for sure.

Even after that. You left a ring on the table. You had that er in your pocket.

Forever. And it should. You guys are now in the fraternity. The Heat popped yer cherry, took your virginity, your maidenhead.

I just hope I never have to go thru that again. I was a bundle of ing nerves. I treated the old lady less than quality because I was so ing distraught. It was just awful.

Disagree Cully. Marc Gasol is going to be the best big in the NBA when Duncan retires.

No one denies, ok well I don't deny Kobe is a volume scorer. You are right, Dwight can create open shots for his team-mates whenp teams foolishly double him. But if you need a hoop with the game on the line he can not be trusted. His go to move is limited cuz his post counters lack variety, and are not usually power moves. Dwight likes to lefty runner or spin baseline he has little else. If I needed a post-up hoop I'd much rather have Al Jeff, Zbo, Tim, Fat Gasol, a focused Pau, David West, Hibbert, Horford, LeBron, Pierce, Kobe, Melo I could keep going but you get the point. Great defender still an elite athlete just limited on offense.
