Damn, there goes my CP3 to Spurs thread I was going to start.![]()
Chris Paul has zero finals appearances and gets over $20MM per year. Tony Parker has way more rings/playoff success and gets $12MM. Of course Tony has shown to be way more of a team player than Chris the coach killer.

i wish we had a team that cared about free agency![]()
No...players have backed out before...carlos boozer did it...it happened to us one time when we were going to sign a guy from the clippers way back..forgot his name...it's not common for a player to back out, but they can and have done it.
And off we go...
$8 Million. They're spending $7.5 Million already, so it's not a big difference.
Is there a specific reason why players can't officially sign until July 10th? Curious as to why it's that way.
I feel the same way.
I thought the addition of a Boozer photo would have made my sarcasm more apparent.

Boston is also interested in Josh Smith:
Because of how quickly the league turns the year around (two weeks after the Finals), they need time to figure out the cap, max salaries and exceptions for the following season. So that period is called the moratorium. Teams can make offers, but they can do anything official, because they don't know for sure what the cap will be. So no one knows which trades will be allowable (for sure) until after the moratorium is over.
That makes sense. Thanks for the info.
This will probably set the market for Evans. If a desperate team loaded with cap space comes out with a $7-9 Million average, he probably won't get much more than that. If they go near max, then it's pretty much over.
