Well I hope Splitter puts up 15/8 next year and keeps up the solid defense.

I can see it now.. Pop is going to start including him in more Pick N Roll plays, his averages will go up 12/7 for his efforts and playoffs 7/5

The starting salary is just $7.8 Million. That's not much more than his cap hold, anyway.

It's a new contract with Bird Rights. It's not an extension, for which Splitter didn't even qualify anyway. That tweet is misguided.
Thanks. Knew something was funny there.

Hahahahahaha.... he'll average 25 minutes, 10/6 maybe, that's if Duncan doesn't drop off. And at the first sight of small ball he'll be on the bench. No surprise.. THe Spurs are paying Matt Bonner 4M this season.

Glad to have Tiago back. Especially since 5 years, $45 million means his salary for next year is likely $7.5 million. That will leave a little over $11 million to resign Manu and get Kirilenko or a backup point. That could expand to over $15 million if they amnesty Bonner and Neal signs elsewhere.

Think this means they give Manu 6 or 7M for 2 years.. 14M/2Years and they offer someone a MLE

I didn't think of that, I forgot about how contracts get bigger as the years go on. If the Spurs land a good free agent + Gino, I'd be very pleased with this.
