The sight of Manu in a Lakers jersey would literally burn my eyes out of their sockets tbh.
Guess the Kings just realized that there's no two year requirement for college basketball tbh.

Never been a fan of Barnes either but there's no denying that he's a solid player and contributor. Good D, motor, shooter, rebounder.
Wouldn't be my first choice but he can certainly help.
Pretty much how I feel. Certainly not my first choice but if it came down to it I wouldn't turn him away. Really hope we can get someone else though..
Hate Matt Barnes as an opponent, but another very underrated player.
i approve of going after billups for the vet min
Billups and Oden can see who will get hurt first.. 1st one to 20 games wins the trophy.
would hate to see that bruno mars looking in a spur jersey.
would probably be the case tbh.
If Billups were able to stay healthy, (huge if obviously), but if we could, he'd be a pretty solid signing at the vet minimum tbh. Even at 36 I'd prefer him backing up Tony in big playoff games than Cojo at this point. Plus he can shoot the 3, something Cojo cannot. Worst case scenario he sits on the end of the bench as the 12th man. He can take PAtty's towel waving duties.
Not FA news but I figured I'd post anyways. Stern making sure he gets his money's worth before be rolls out.
That would show why they backed off Iggy that fast lol............
RE: Barnes, hasn't he rebuffed the Spurs several times in the past? And isn't he only willing to play for California/West Coast teams?
[moderately funny comment/useless comment unsubstantiated by anything] tbh/imo
Wait, are NBA players contracts structured so that they aren't allowed to play basketball outside the NBA?
Not unsanctioned games while they're under contract. If they get hurt, their team loses millions of dollars worth of production.
I just read in a Woj article that they can't play in unsanctioned off-season games before July 1, which the game was. Which is kinda reasonable I guess.
Or they could be slow playing and waiting for some teams to use up their cap space and let the market simmer down some.

Another team I was advised to keep eye on in Korver chase: San Antonio. Nets restricted to paying just under $10 million over three seasons
Saw Broussard said Nets are "out of running" on Korver. Not sure what to think of it - for all of his faults, Neal can actually create his own shot unlike Green / Korver / etc. Korver can guard the 2/3 but we still need a fourth big as this signing would spell the end of Bonner and not sure you can count on Baynes as your fourth.
I'd be fine with it though if the price is right. Would mean Deshaun Thomas' stint with the team was short lived though. Wonder if Pop will be able to call him to cut him.
Korver is a waste of cap space. Maybe if the well dries up elsewhere.
If it takes more than 3/$10 to get Korver, I'd rather just keep Bonner TBH.
agreed-korver is probably more consistent than bonner from three but he is really the same product.
