Longhorn fans pimping the Sooners . . . . now I've seen everything.
Probably because Tlong pimps anything that goes against the Big 12. I thought Oregon got shafted by the BCS, but they got handled tonight by a decent Oklahoma team. Looks like they were only Texas' cupcake for one year.
A predictable response.
He's been disrespecting the big-12 conference, adamantly proclaiming his to be much better
I'm pimping the conference. A ty ty team like OU beat the Sixth Ranked Team in the Nation.
Overrated team? check
Overrated conference? check
one more cake walk that USC took on its way to a rose bowl? check

Bad loss. Still doesn't change anything in reguards to USC and Texas.
Oregon was missing it's best QB, though it's not an excuse for this game, they were hardly the team that was a top-10 team after wins over Fresno State and Arizona State when both were top-20 teams. They did beat a struggling Cal team without Clemens, but Cal was an average team late in the year.
It was a bad loss and they could have/should have won, but really, how does this loss change anything in reguards to USC/Texas? USC still has an "All-Time" offense and a pretty good defense. They can still put up 40 points on anyone. Texas still only has Young on offense. They stop Young, they win. While they won't stop him, I don't think Oregon losing will somehow enable Young to dominate USC anymore than before.
You sounded like you knew what you were talking about until the bold. USC can also give up 40 points to anyone, and I would say that their D is decent, not good. Texas only has Young? They have playmakers all over the place. Yes, Young is the catalyst for the team, but the running attack is pretty damn good, and the recievers aren't bad either. You know the PACies would be celebrating if the roles were reversed and Oklahoma got jipped, and a mediocre Pac team beat them.
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
you don't know about texas other than that they're supposed to lose to USC
wow you're an astute football fan aren't youI don't think Oregon losing will somehow enable Young to dominate USC anymore than before.
Laughing Out Loud, i bet if ESPN took a big and put it in the box, marked it gaurunteed, you'd go right out and buy it too huhUSC still has an "All-Time" offense and a pretty good defense
The Ducks got worked. It was a bummer, but not that surprising. I knew the Ducks offense would have problems with the two rotating young QB's. When Ngata went down in the 2nd half the defense was in trouble. Oklahoma is much better now than at any other point of the season as well. Still, the Ducks almost pulled it out...
You guys have scoreboard until Jan. 4th. I bow to your superiority....................for now.
thats teh only date and bowl that matters. all the rest to me are like the movie trailers before the movie starts. the opening act if you will.
oh yeah cbf lol at the tommy boy quote. that was priceless.![]()
It looks like it's 8.
where do you go for your spreads???
Covers.com lists the odds from 20 or betting more sites. Right now the spread is 7.5 or 8 at most places.
DO NOT PLAN TO STAND UP TOO FAST...You could get dizzy and pass out!
A tip from your Uncle Hussker...Don't make me use my Stethoscope and ACLS protocols on you now!!!!

In reguards to USC defense. They may not hold teams under 35 points, but it's made the plays every time it's needed to. I didn't say good. I didn't say great. I said pretty good. As in, a step below good. They have a solid defense.
I bet I've seen Texas as many times as most here have seen USC. A handful of times. The times I have seen Texas, Young has benn the end all, be all on offense. He does great, the offense does great. He does poorly, the offense struggles. He didn't do poorly often, but I watched the OSU game... I saw him, then the team struggle in the first half, then saw him take over, thus Texas take over the second. He is a fantastic player and certainly one of the few that could single-handedly destroy a top-5 team. He's unlike anything USC has seen, but I still like USC's chances.
Frankly, I dislike ESPN. I just happen to be a Pac-10 guy. Do I think that they overhype USC... No. Do I think that Texas is coming in underrated... Certainly.
Still, the outcome of this Bowl, nor the Fiesta Bowl mean anything in reguards to the Rose Bowl. That was my post's intent. Certainly not to slite Texas in anyway. But seriously, most here are either Texas fans or Big-12 fans. You're doing the very thing to USC that ESPN is doing to Texas.
USC has been and is an incredable team. Their success is right up there with any college team. Texas is in the unique position, however, of beating USC with something different. That something different isn't a very good defense or a good offense. It's all about Young. That's what I was saying. USC stops Young, they win. It doesn't matter what the other good, but lesser offensive players do. So long as Young is hindered, hurried and hit, USC should have enough. From what I've seen, USC's defense will play average for the first half, then step things up big-time in the second. All USC needs to do is stay close going into the half and they should win. USC defense may not be great, but in every game this year, it's had just enough.
