I wouldn't put him on the list. That's just a small premium over the MLE.

Jack's deal isn't that bad compared to someone like OJ Mayo or Josh Smith. Little longer than you'd like but really not that bad considering he came off a strong season.

Wouldn't it have been nice if the Spurs had signed Jarrett Jack to replace Manu and become that backup PG to Tony Parker that we desperately need? He is costing a little less than Manu. Not only that, but he is also probably coming off the bench for Kyrie Irving. Good fuc*ing shi* RC and Pop. I hate you'll.
That's goes against the concept of loyalty our franchise preaches so well. Too bad "loyalty" hasn't won us the past 7 years.

Don't the Clippers still have the MLE?

They would be a nice spot for AK if he deigns to accept that little since the Spurs probably won't have it.

Nope, they gave most of it to Matt Barnes.

Pretty sure they used a good chunk of the MLE to retain Matt Barnes.

So the Clippers' Early Bird rights weren't enough to use an exception rather than the MLE?

They didn't have early bird right. They had non bird rights and it wasn't enough.

    Gary Neal possibly?
I think it'd have to be, not sure how many such shooters are left. Not sure if theyre high on Jaberko still now that Singer seems to start for them at SF, but one of those two could be a nice backup SF option in a S&T involving Neal and De Colo. Pistons really don't have a natural PG.

They didn't have early Bird Rights. He was coming off a one year vet min deal.

    Good deal for Jack too.

Thankfully we won't have to worry about him now.

Local Houston sports radio: in love with Howard. Say they have surpassed the Spurs and only team they will not say they are better than now is OKC. Even have people from SA calling in scared....

Houston better get use to hack a Howard, and watching their fast break become a crawl.

THIS makes me ecstatic about having signed Splitter early. (even though he was infuriating throughout the finals)
Its exactly what most of thought would happen; pure, unadulterated panic by those teams who lost out on Howard.

Yes Dallas going in on Bynum also makes me think they would've chased Tiago. Would've killed 2 birds with one stone for them by weakening the Spurs.

Tiago would have been a bad fit next to Dirk, they need a true center who can rebound and be tough in general...

Surprised by the silence on Pek. I have to think that someone is preparing a large offer sheet to lure him away from Minni in the wake of Howard.

Wouldn't have stopped Cuban from offering him a ridiculous deal. Just imagine Cuban if he couldn't get Bynum to take his money.

Call me a hater or not but couldn't the Spurs have gone after Devin Harris instead of Marco B.? I'm starting to think that RC and the FO are either dumb and ignorant or they're just lazy to go out and recruit players. That is such a cheap deal. Wish we could of gotten him as a backup PG to Tony Parker.
