We go after the death of one black person with all that the government has while thousands of black deaths occur every year without a blink of an eye. All of this because it was made to be front page news. Where is the anger, the indignation for all of the these unnessessary deaths? The same people who cry racism will go back to their corner and shrug their shoulders at this injustice.

i agree, something needs to be done and we need to be honest about both racism and classism. there is no anger when the black poor kill each other. the only ones enraged are the people who have to live in those communities. majority of america doesn't care, the media doesn't care and you don't care either.
The guests on Melissa Harris-Perry on MSNBC said earlier that the "no felons on a jury" law is unfair to blacks because they don't get a jury of their peers. I was going to make a joke but I don't think I can add to that.

The tea baggers ed up by preemptively complaining about riots that hadn't happened yet which made the black community determined to show they can peacefully protest and gave them enough time to organize the movement. If they just stayed quiet on the issue there might have been some riots.

There have already been some black on white "Justice for Trayvon attacks" over the past year. About a dozen I think. Yes I could give links but you can easily find them on a search; the news just doesn't get above local.

A lot of people in the Trayvon camp are really missing the point, I think. There was never going to be enough evidence to convict Zimmerman under the law, and expecting the jury or the court to come to the decision you wanted just because that's what you think should happen makes me question whether you truly believe we should be in an innocent-til-proven-guilty society.
The real injustice here is that a kid died and there was no investigation. I'd rather 1000 George Zimmermans go free on a lack of evidence than for one person to be put in prison without being proven to belong there. This Zimmerman bloodlust needs to be redirected to more important things.
By "local" I assume you mean fringe right wing blogs with dubious sources.
Either way, pretty clear that the fear of racially motivated violence around this case has far outweighed the actual incidents.

Even though he ended up free, and even though if I had to bet on it I'd say Zimmerman wasn't acting in self defense, Zimmerman was on trial when he never should have been after the police didn't collect nearly enough evidence. Introducing manslaughter was also something that shouldn't be allowed, the DA shouldn't be able to overcharge for a conviction he had no chance at getting then go back and reintroduce the crime he should have gone with from the get go. The only outrage here should be directed at the way it was handled.
That's stupid. GZ was a moron who followed and profiled a kid, but he meant to harm. TM was wrong in thinking that he had to kick his ass for that. That the jury unanimously agreed is not surprising seeing how it would have been a scarier precedent to justify TM's actions. GZ's actions did not justify an ass-beating. The non-thug jury apparently saw that.

Some of you guys disagree with the verdict the jury chose, but he was judged and found not guilty by a jury of peers, you should really find a way to try to get over it. Do you really want us to do away with the jury and go back to lynch mob type of justice?

This should have never went to trial, there was never enough if any evidence that showed He was guilty, but the media just had to blow it out of proportion and make it a racial thing.
