Yeah I'm still pissed about the whole thing but that guy is out of his ing mind. "I needed this championship to save my life?" Seriously. Wow.
it wasn't just a cherry popped, it was like something out of Deliverance. Makes sense that ElNono is laughing it off because his boy did the most anal rape. Most of us feel like Ned Beatty.
I don't see anything bad written above, except for that kobyz comments. that is just overboard, and I think he's someone's troll just pushing the angst factor too far.

kobyz said getting cancer was better than losing Game 6. I'm convinced he's someone's troll.
Just read the whole thread. someone should forward it to a group of psychiatrists for a case study.
come on son... it's sports... I said 20 million times Manu shat the bed... so what? get over it and move on...
Maybe it's just getting older, or the fact that I thought we overachieved by that point already... it sucked at that moment, and then I just moved on. Maybe it's because I was there for the previous 4.
But that bunch of pussies don't know . Worse than cancer? really?
I mean, ask a Cleveland fan what losing really feels like...![]()
i think that kobyz's comments are all bs, must be a troll per par on here. I can't imagine anyone being that ridiculous. i just don't have a problem if people want to continue venting, probably better here than blowing up elsewhere. I've made my peace with it....for the most part. By that I mean i've moved onto more pressing and issues, but occassionally it does piss me off when I think about it. Otherwise, like i said in the other thread, that series exposed some that was nagging me. So even though a ty ending, it was an entertaining and enlightening series. It sucks to get your Finals cherry popped in a gang rape situation, but too many were no longer reliable. It happens.
I think it's hilarious because 3/4 of those in a rage are lil z that didn't show up in '08/'09/'10/'11... if you look at the Duncan era, those years are easily the worst, because we truly didn't have a shot... 8, The Skunker, etc etc etc...
When you look at the big picture, being a Spursfan the last two seasons has been easy as ...
lol, that could apply to me, since I didn't log on here til last season, though I lurked a few years before. But i was still following the team and suffered through those losses. I went through .04 (i didn't even watch the Finals I was so pissed), '06 ruined my vacation I was on because I was following the series in Hawaii. then we left the bar area and i followed the rest on a radio and it soured the whole trip. I remember thinking Stern robbed us, that no way Manu could blow that lol. then I watched the highlights later from my room.
You are right though, the last couple years have been unpredictable and fun at least. I really wanted us to blow it up after 8, I thought that was the end. The past two seasons have both ended horribly, but both seasons far exceeded my expectations as well. I'm just going to go into next season with minimal expectations, try to watch in person before Duncan hangs them up.
Peeps are drowning in a glass of water... these contending seasons are the seasons you gotta enjoy, no matter the result... some of these guys are about to swallow a dozen razors because we were a rebound away from winning a 5th(!) championship.
As far as Manu, I have no problem with people calling me a homer, but I remember when Bowen walked through that door, losing a step and all, and it took us 4 years (those dark years I mentioned before) to get back to contenders, and for a while there it looked like we might not even make it back. I was genuinely concerned we would've been shutting down the TD era if he wasn't re-signed. He's clearly on the decline, but you can't replace familiarity with the system and TP/TD just like that, and we don't have another 3-4 years to burn.
When TD decides to hang them up, then we can all cry a new riverwalk together...
Midnight said it best: it's all part of cheering for a contending team.
