Gray told prosecutors in the deposition that Alexander came back into the house holding the weapon and told him to leave. He refused, and what happened next is somewhat unclear. In his deposition, Gray said "she shot in the air one time," prompting him and the children to run out the front door.

smh she attempted to leave the house by going out through the garage but the door was locked...here is her own husband's testimony of what happened:

As for the day of the shooting incident, he says when he saw the texts on Alexander’s phone he pushed his way into the bathroom to confront her. He said in the deposition: “I was mad, you know. I said, what the f—- is this, and you know, I told her that ... if I can’t have you nobody going to have you … She ain’t .”

Gray said that when she tried to leave the bathroom, “I met her where the sink was, and she wanted to get by me and I wouldn’t let her by and I was backing up slow but I was using my body to pretty much contain her in that one area where I want her to be at. [S]he got the bathroom door closed and she locked it, so I were beating on it. [I] was there waiting for her to come out of the bathroom.”

“I was in a rage. I was in a rage, so I was saying a lot of things.” He said, “I beat on the door hard enough where it could have been broken open. [P]robably has some dents.” And: “I was mad, you know … I called her a and a .”

“She was trying to get by and I was sitting there trying to make her talk to me. [T]he more she didn’t want to talk about it, the more I was not letting her by.” After she got out of the bathroom, “I was telling her, she ain’t going nowhere, she going to sit right here. [S]he was trying to get by … and I was telling her she not going nowhere.”

He was asked, “Did you ever tell her you knew people that would do your dirt?” Gray said, “Yeah. [I] ain’t going to lie. I been in the streets … I know a lot of people …” Asked if the purpose of “saying something like that was to let her know if she didn’t do what you wanted her to do that you could have hurt her or something?,” he answered, “That’s correct.”

He described her going to the garage, “but I knew that she couldn’t leave out the garage because the garage door was locked …” He reiterated, “I knew she couldn’t get out of the garage.”

“She came back through the doors and she had a gun [from her car]. And she said, ‘You need to leave.’ I told her, I ain’t leaving until you talk to me … and I started walking towards her and she shot in the air.”

Remember, Corey claims that Alexander was not scared at this point. Really. She also claims that Rico Gray lied in this deposition to protect Alexander. Because misogynist monsters always implicate themselves in crimes to protect women.

It’s amazing that Rico Gray can admit in excruciating detail in a deposition to violent attacks on multiple women and be a free man, but when one of those women tries to defend herself, that’s just a bridge too far for Angela Corey.

If there is any justice, the governor of Florida will pardon Alexander—as many online pe ions are urging him to do—and make clear that it’s the abusers who are the menace to society, not the abused.

Trill, she left the room (or house, if detached), went to the garage and retrieved a shotgun.

Honestly I agree that I would be more bothered if a white guy was shot by a black guy and the shooter got away with it. But I would still have to accept that not guilty was the right verdict. There isn't enough evidence to convict, no matter what race each person involved is.

People keep bringing up some other case of a black woman firing warning shots and being put in prison. I don't know anything about that case; maybe she is wrongly convicted, I'm not sure. But either way, that doesn't mean that Zimmerman should be going to jail. Nobody has come even remotely close to proving beyond reasonable doubt that he did not act in self-defense to save his own life as he claims to have done.
At least you're honest, I have no problem with the verdict either, the prosecution was ass from the start. That doesn't I think Zimmerman is innocent or he felt his life was in danger. The problem I have is that there are people trying so hard to justify a non-black adult following a black teenager while carrying a loaded weapon because of their own racial biases.

Couldn't care less if Martin was black or white, and couldn't care less if Zimmerman was white black hispanic asian. There wasn't anywhere near enough evidence to get a conviction, and quite frankly wasn't much even to go to trial. They're selling the race story and you're all buying. In the time since the verdict was passed, there have been 6 blacks in chicago killed by blacks, but I don't see anybody protesting there demanding stricter gun laws or demanding justice for the lost lives. No rallies, no pickets, no national outcry. You're all buying the race narrative. It's as if one black man's life is worth more than the other 6 combined just because the killer's skin was of a certain color. It's disgusting tbh

If I lived in that neighborhood and knew that several burglaries have occurred recently and my neighborhood watch guy didn't check out a young man walking around at night in the rain....I would be pissed. What is the purpose of neighborhood "watch"? But hey lets get in our mind that he "stalked" the kid like on some kind of hunt. In fact, based on his history, Trayvon could of very well been looking to burglarize that night... This Saint Martin mantra is a storyline I am not buying. It is a tragedy no matter how you look at it.... but comparing it to Emmitt Till or Rodney King and making it the biggest issue and fight for blacks in America is insane.

soooooo everybody that walks in the rain should be stopped by the watchmen? if it was that bad in the neighborhood then they needed more police presence, not vigilante watchmen. i'm buying the saint martin story because he was just a normal kid. wasn't like he was out here molesting his cousins.

oh i agree. as sports fans, we speculate all the time, especially when comparing players of different positions, eras, etc. but claiming speculations as fact is where i would pull away, which is what we've been seeing by some on this topic

After crime in the neighborhood and a young man wondering around in the rain at night?? I would want him to do his job and WATCH. Keep a ing eye on the dude. So yes. Normal kid? What is your description of a normal kid? That is the problem here....he was acting like a normal black kid, and that seems to be accepted in America now... There you go.... Trayvon and Rachel....just good 'ol normal American kids these days.... sheesh

yea it goes both ways. both sides have their interpretation of what happened and the only way we can know what the god honest truth is, is if it was caught on camera like the guy who shot his teen neighbor point blank in the chest. without that footage who knows what would have happened.

its over, zimmerman has to live his life in fear and the martin family lost a son too son. i just hope some good comes out of this as far as race relations go because its obvious there is still some issues we've let go on for far too long.

no good will come out of it was far as race relations go because this case was blown up into a racial divide when it wasn't necessary or relevant

he wasn't wondering. he was getting candy and a drink and walking back home when it started to rain. that complex is one way in and one way out, he didn't have to keep an eye on him. all he had to do was stay at the entrance/exit until law enforcement arrived.

i'm not gonna watch a 10 minute vid of some square in a suit, who's probably never heard of lean until this year all of a sudden he's a expert, smear a dead teen. most kids and even adults on social media are showoff and try hards who are attention s. trayvon was an attention because if he sipped so much lean then there would be traces of it in his toxicology report, right?

and "fire ass lean" using robitussin. all that tells me is trayvon had no clue on what lean was if he thought that was some fire. ask ya buddies if robitussin is just as good as codeine lol.
There weren't traces in his toxicology, but if you did watch this video, you'd know that his liver had issues that is normally caused by codeine. Yeah, I know tussin isn't as good as codeine, but if you can't get ahold of it, like his facebook posts showed he couldn't, you use what you can. Look, man...I'm not trying to say this kid deserved to die. I'm not trying to say he should have died. , I think Zimmerman should have stayed in his damn car. I'm just saying all evidence shows Trayvon attacked him and he pulled the trigger defending himself. They were both wrong. I just don't like everything being pointed at Zim like he's the KKK. The video showed many things about how he is not a racist. He lived with black people in his house growing up. The FBI told Holder a Civil Rights case against him would fail because not only is there nothing showing he's racist, all the evidence is to the contrary. Everyone in his neighborhood (a multi-cultural community) liked him. There's just no evidence showing anything to him being racist. There's so many more things to be worried about in this country right now, and this is simply a ruse by the government to get everyone's minds off the fact that they are ing up right now.

i refuse to watch some grown man make a video and go out of his way to paint a 17 year old kid as some violent druggy. all those stories about him being a addict and having liver problems are coming from a evil place and i don't need that type of karma in my life.

yes there are a lot of issues in this country, we can't mul ask? the issues of several million african americans isn't an important issues?

my stance on this is, zimmerman stalked him and put trayvon in a position above his level of maturity. at 17 years old i would have reacted the same way if a stranger followed me, asked me questions and didn't identify himself. i have a swing first mentality as well.
