Diego's @ MGM was damn good Mexican cuisine, although pricey (I had $100 food credit b/w 5 people).

Man. I ing envy you. Haven't been to Vegas since 02'..

Well, even though you have Fogo de Chao here, IMO it was better in Vegas. Better food and service I thought. It's on Flamingo right off the strip.

Other than food I highly recommend you hit up the Stratosphere for the rides at the top of the tower, and of course the topless lounge area there as well. And make sure you stay faced drunk 90% of the time, things are definitely more interesting that way.

I forget the name of it, but there's a brazilian steakhouse in the Planet Hollywood mall I always eat at. The price is pretty reasonable at lunch time.

Must eat place in Vegas... Your local Denny's & IHOP is better than anything Vegas has to offer...

Vegas is probably my least favorite place on the planet…Trashy folks in the Casinos walking around in gym shorts & spandex…Hotel rooms all reek of smoke thanks to the Middle Eastern Invasion…Long lines for a below average and expensive buffets…Pools filled beyond capacity with people pounding down liquor…For weekend get a ways I would take a golf & tennis resort any day…

Wrong! There are many great restaurants in Vegas. They aren't cheap though. And Vegas isn't a place to relax, it's a place to PARTY!

Hanging out with The People of Wall-Mart is not my idea of a Party…
Vegas is just plain gross now a days...And the food is terrible and over priced...

It's away from the strip & looks like a hole in the wall, but Lotus of Siam has killer Thai food.

It may be in an “unassuming” strip mall, but “don’t let the outside fool you” – this longtime east-of-the-Strip spot filled with “locals and foodies from across the country” is “off the hook” with “unusual, ultratasty” Northern Thai specialties elevated by a “clarity in the bright sauces and fresh ingredients”, as well as a wine list that “could challenge the big dogs”; savants just suggest “disregarding the decor”, an easy feat given the “gracious” staff (“ask for recommendations”) and “embarrassingly modest” prices.

It is. That's why The Steakhouse (that's the name) is such a surprise.

If you're into buffets, Rio for seafood and Paris for breakfast.

Diego's @ MGM was damn good Mexican cuisine, although pricey (I had $100 food credit b/w 5 people).
been to Diego's with extended family just recently, pretty good but as you said, pricey (per par w/Vegas). nice atmosphere in Diegos. my great uncle, who recommended the place, thought it was better in the past, but he still enjoyed it.

I remember Mon Ami Gabi being good at Paris.

there is a Asian wok place inside MGM, that was great for late night munchies IIRC.

there's lots of Nathan Hot Dog stands around, and those are good when in a bind.

whatever you do, don't eat that Imperial Palace buffet. I still have photos of a time friends and I went there, not sure what the they were serving but it was akin to high school cafeteria food.

Yeah, I went to Diego's back in 2009 and it was really good then.

LMAO @ Imperial Palace. I had simple burger and fries my second trip there and I'm pretty sure I have stomach cancer now.

Try Koi for sushi in PH. I was curious to see the reviews on yelp and I have to say that there are a lot of spoiled people. All I can say is that the wife and I wanted sushi and drinks and went without any expectations. We got great service and above average sushi compared to San Antonio. The place was modern, clean and had the right lighting to keep the mood up. We tend to spend freely and tip over 25% so the price maybe a little bit up there, but it's Vegas. Live a little.
