Aren't we jumping to conclusions here, putting the cart before the horse?
Seems like we are jumping the gun, either we are, or Thomas is.
It makes sense to start the season and man the backup SF spot with Thomas, and a combination of SGs. If Thomas blossoms then the F.O. looks brilliant. If not, then they have Bonner and Diaw's contracts to package with a guard to land a decent player come mid-season.

This isn't a guarantee that he is buying a house in san antonio now. He could be looking at what his options could be. She might have taken him to dinner hoping to become his realtor in the future.
Why is anyone excited? If we ate lucky enough to get back to the finalshe better be a contributor. Idgaf what he does in the regular season.
She said, " Exciting things happening for him soon."
So for those who question whether this means anything or not; It's clear she an inside scoop to what's going on with him. I'm not sure she would say that if he was going to europe. It sounds as if she's saying announcement forthcoming, o he's looking for a place here...
Honestly, I think you might be reading a whole lot more into her simple statement than what is truly there IMHO.
If she is representing him in searching for a house, it should be in Austin (if not Europe), not San Antonio.
Actually Austin is an easy commute from San Antonio.
If the Spur ownership had been really smart and far sighted they would have built the arena half way between the two cities. In fact, that is my hope for a future NFL team and stadium!
You guys sound like you're trying to decipher the Da Vinci Code![]()
the san marcos spurs ?
San Marcos or just below would be great, but the name would need to be the Texas ???s (insert name of your choice).
Not to veer too far off subject, but we already have the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, Houston Astros, and the Houston Texans so it would probably need to be the Texas Texians, Cabayeros, or something typical Texan, and Central Texan would be best.
That is why I was happy when the Saints moved here for three games, the San Antonio Saints was perfect.
Ok, back to the subject now. Sorry!
perfect post.
Hit up the outlet mall... and a Spurs game while you're at it!
Why you you jealous?
I loved going to college there but there isn't much else to do there.
The team would be called the Outlets.

dESHAUN tHOMAS................CIA POP does it again.
This may be the dumbest comparison ever made on this board.
I really hope the front office gives him an opportunity by having him start as Kawhi's backup, his job to lose kinda thing. If he gets over the jitters I think he will be a great player and he'll be able to help out Manu a lot too. He'll be a backup, he's still got great size and correct me if I'm wrong but his footwell is phenomenal. He's does all this while playing the premier position in the NBA with Lebron and Durant.
This is also barring any career affecting injuries.
From what i've heard he is a unlikely fit at small forward in the NBA, because he lacks quickness to defend on the wing. He could make the roster, but Manu is likely going to play primarily backup small forward. I think it would be best for everyone involved for that to happen. Playing a second unit consisting of
Joseph/Mills
Belineli
Ginobil
Diaw
Baynes/ Pendergraph
four play makers and four 3 point shooters on a bench should be helpful take pressure off Manu. The bench lacks experience though, with only Manu, Beli, and Diaw playing consistent minutes throughout their careers.
SF isn't the premier position in the NBA ,PF is. Its the second weakest position in the NBA behind Center.
Duncan
Nowitzki
Griffin
Aldrigde
Love
[Pau]Gasol
Randolph
West
Garnett
Milsap
Ibaka
SFs
Deng
Igualada
Leonard
Batum
[Harrison]Barnes
Durant
James and Anthony both play alot of PF now a days.
Maybe this thread le should have been "DeShaun Thomas looking for a 'cat' house in SA?"
It was Deshaun that initially wouldn't give his number to the Spurs right? Wonder if he'll give his address.
yeah, what's the story on that? he didn't want to get drafted by us? so it's like "don't call me"
he downplays it in an interview after we picked him, almost makes it sound like a misunderstanding.
hope he isn't a cancer, im pretty excited about his prospects.
