I have long maintained that ws in the regular season is more reflective than that in the playoffs, because it shows the effect if one player in all setups rather than against up to four teams that have matchups to exploit.

As for officiating. Last year was a joke.

Well I give Kirby the credit for 09 Finals, his 2nd best Finals ever after the Nets series, where he shot above 50% fg and 3pt, probably his best playoff series to date.

You could make an argument that Kirby peaked in 02/03, during that time he was the best all-around player after Duncan and KG, he was decent on defense and he had his 2nd highest PER and WS in any season, highest rpg,spg and 3pt%.


In my opinion 2002-2003 marks Bryant's true prime, he was the perfect 2nd banana, he set up Shaq for points and he took the wide open mid-range/3pt jumpers and he bothered to play a little defense, him winning the Finals MVP in 2010 was a fluke and in 2009 the match-ups obviously favored him in the Finals due to Pau having to deal with a DPOY in prime D12. Kirby inflated his ppg while shooting around 43% for the series.

Will Kirby ever ring again? Maybe as a 6th man on a stacked roster but I don't see his teams going anywhere with him taking 20+ shots like he used to. He'll be looking like Ochocinco when he joined New England and he might be out of the league after next year if he's not as good as he was last year.

46.3 percent from the field isnt that great. Its pretty average. And he once again shot like from three.

I've been playing Hearts of Iron I though. I've played Hearts of Iron 2, in which the 41' scenario was probably the easiest scenario for Germany tbh. My troops marched all the way past Moscow, with Leningrad & Stalingrad both occupied as well, and eventually forced Stalin to beg for peace.

But HOI 1 was totally different. Germany were out of human resources and the red army were ruthless. I think if I had 10 or more generals of Manstein's caliber I would've still won the war regardless, but too bad apart from the few good ones like Manstein, Rommel, Guderian, Von Bock, Kuchler, and maybe Rundstedt, the rest were all in the range from mediocre to garbage
