Mack is a superior recruiter and a good guy. But he can't get competent assistants and obviously actually coaching has passed him bye. I am all for keeping a consistent program but this is too much.

The only thing that trumps $$ for Saban is his ego. He is a DEITY in Alabama now (lol) and I expect him to go up on the Mt Rushmore of college coaches alongside Bear, wearing the same colors

If Texas doesn't fire Mack Brown in the morning, I'm defecting to A&M. You can call it bandwagoning if you want, but I'm ing sick of rooting for Texas after the bull way they have run the team since Colt McCoy went to the NFL. They started Garrett ing Gilbert for an entire season, seemed content to do it again until he got booed off the field in Austin, and have rewarded David Ash with a starting job for the simple fact that he was better than Garrett Gilbert, which apparently doesn't seem to be that hard to do.
I know they're losing this game because their defense can't stop a white guy from looking like Robert Griffin III, and Diaz should DEFINITELY be fired in the morning if they lose. But Mack Brown is a ty coach and if anything the 2010-2013 iterations of the Longhorns have taught us that he can't do without elite college QBs and he doesn't have one right now. Letting Muschamp walk was a mistake. If Texas can't beat ing BYU, no kid is going to want to play for them. When your failure as a coach is costing the school recruits, get the out.
How Mack Brown still has a job is beyond me. Purely awful. The only coaches who have squandered as much talent in the last few years are chizz-rag and lame kitten.
Coaching is nothing if you can't DEVELOP talent...You can recruit the best, but it's worthless if you wander into a program where you immediately become an en led pussy. A lower tier program in Auburn (relative to UT) learned that last year...USC (top tier) is in the process of learning it as well
What will it take for UT?
I like UT, and think CFB is better when they're good...fwiw
