gtfo with your "oh this is literal but this is a parable! it's all open to interpretation" bull . when the book was written, it meant what it said literally. as science has continued to on religion, bible thumpers move the goal posts on what is literal and what is not, desperately trying to have their little fairy tale book fit the modern reality or to try and excuse the incredible bigotry, incest, murder, torture, magical fairy tale creatures, and any other garbage.

The parable aspect is pretty clear once you know where to look. Jesus and God tell you. Just about everyone slips right past it. That is also explained. There's not so much parables in the articles but as skull said there's a lot of errors in interpreting from Hebrew and Greek to English, mainly in the King James Bible which is an old translation. The New King James and Niv use many of the latest archaeological manuscripts. And it's this archaeology that is proving the bible more n more accurate almost every day. Science as well is proving consistent with the bible not against it. Many well known atheists with more knowledge than you have converted. A debate was recently held at Oxford with some renowned atheists and Christian apologists and the consensus was the atheists lost. Please read tjose articles lee. I do take the Bible more literal than skull but also take it as literature-with metaphors, similes, anthropormorphisims, etc. If anyone tries to convince you Lee take it more as we actually are concerned for our lost brethren and desire God's best for you, and we know what happens if your sins have not been atoned for. If we go on believing we lose nothing.
