He excelled at Fenwick High School in Oak Park, Illinois, where he was an All-American in basketball and also an Illinois high school state track finalist in long jump and triple jump.

i have to say that Belinelli looks like he belongs in the silver and black
fwiw, I'm more pro Young than Maggette, good to see Young looks hungry, though maybe we can find room for both.

He doesn't care much for him, iirc.
Maggette, Young and Kabongo aren't big enough names for you? Remember, these are scrap pile signings for guys on make-good contracts. This is about as stacked as we've been with these kinds of players in several years for a training camp.
I wonder if Leonard has been working on his left hand all summer or just fooling around here?
Starting to really look forward to see what Beli can do in silver and black.
I also want both Maggette and Young to make the roster, though I'm pushing for Young over Maggette because he is younger and has a higher ceiling. I feel like his skill set is also more complimentary to what the Spurs are trying to do offensively and defensively.
Unfortunately, I don't see Pop dropping either Mills or De Colo, and they are the only expendable parts. Bonner is still around taking up his usual space, but after his playoff run, I can't really fault Matty. He finally stepped up and did what was expected of him (for the most part). It's definitely not the worst thing to have your 4th or 5th big be one of the best shooters in the league, and Pop seems to have finally learned how to play him accordingly.
Going to be a tough race for that 15th spot. Knowing PATFO, they will probably cut both of them just to with us.
Interesting, I guess if that is true and he doesn't think much of him, then I guess Maggette would be his default choice, as I think he did want him on the team the year that he chose Golden State instead.
I still think Diaw has upside...dont know why...but every time I watch him I think: Ok...he is about to explode!! but then nothing...
Kmon Diaw! Did he lose weight?
Lots of the Spurs are looking in great shape. You expect that from professional athletes but it does not look like many of them took too much time off this offseason. That might also be the advantage of playing so late into the summer.
Man you know its funny, no one really talks about us making a move for Marco..But if he went to a team like the Thunder or the Heat, it would've been totally over-hyped like " oh man OKC got Belinelli, or oh man the heat are gonna three peat for sure they got Belinelli"I'm also anxious to see the contributions he will make in Silver and Black!
Between Mills and De Colo, I would rather see De Colo cut. Mills brings that swagger to the bench that the team needs and can provide instant offense. With your last point, I won't be suprised if both Young and Maggette are cut. Just like how they cut Eddy Curry last year even though the team needed a big. But I think Sam Young fits more on the Spurs than Curry did anyway.
OT but cool
