When we go through the university we are pretty pompous assholes who feel superior to the masses and the professors encourage this baggery. Then you go further up the ladder - and you completely buy into the "I am - insert academic label -so and so and I have a - insert label- so & so"

Then les, accolades, honors and plaudits follow and you are completely and wholeheartedly full of yourself.

Then life happens. Then experience. Then - reality happens.

You then get on the "unlearning" kick. This is the other side of your journey. This is where you begin to see that all the garbage that was programmed into you and taught to you and "imprinted" on you - is exactly why you are a pompous, arrogant, blind fool.

Most don't get this far - they remain in the bag mode until they die and never having seen or never having woken up.

If you are still seeking truth, knowledge, reality at this point - you will have to unlearn all this garbage that you are so proud of and that is preventing you from seeing anything and keeping you blind.

Then you will understand how "proud" I am not of my education.

I know you're "just saying", but making a claim that is clearly false to a rational thinking person.
1. You have no idea what I am discarding or not. Instead you are projecting what you think I am doing to satisfy your own biases.
2. You need to clarify what exactly "the bible" is, or more specifically which bible, before you determine what is or isn't the infallibility part of it.
I don't doubt that Gods word are infallible, and I don't doubt that much of His word is in the bible.
I do however doubt that our understanding of it Is infallible. I do doubt our interpretations of it are infallible. And I do doubt that the bible in its present format is complete and conclusive of ALL of Gods word, and that it has not been tampered with in order to confuse and influence many agendas besides Gods.

B) Fallible beings need infallible God to tell them what is true.

I need infallible God to tell me what is true. If A, then B.

A) I am fallible.
B) I have chosen to read the bible to know what is infallible.

See where this is going?

If you are capable of making mistakes, how do you know that the bible in its present form isn't exactly what infallible God wanted it to be?
