Come on now, the media fellates Luck plenty.... Chargers/Colts on Monday night was one long Luck slurpfest, tbh....
In 24 starts, Andrew Luck has:
-Taken a previously 2-14 team to the playoffs
-Won 9 games with a come-from-behind or game-winning drive
-Passed for the most yards in one game as a rookie
-Passed for the most yards in one season as a rookie
-The 3rd most rushing TD's by a QB since 2012
-Defeated San Fransisco, Seattle and Denver this season
Yes, Andrew Luck was the consensus #1 pick. Washington would have taken him over RG3 if they had the #1 pick. He was hyped coming out of college and is a little overshadowed because Russell Wilson got drafted by a supremely talented team that allowed him to have better numbers immediately compared to Luck's Colts team that had the #1 pick because they sucked major .
But for all the teams the Colts have beaten and as well as the Colts have played, a team like Seattle (who they beat) still gets ranked ahead of them in the power rankings? The is up with that? I know Andrew Luck doesn't generate highlights as much as RG3 does...but the man wins football games, plays his best at the most important moments of the game and is improving with each game. He had some amazing throws in the game against the Broncos and it was definitely his best game as a pro. Just seems like the prevailing commentary on Andrew Luck is "Luck is a great player, but..."
I just don't get it. Why does Andrew Luck being good have to come with a caveat? He was drafted by the worst possible team at the time and after 24 games has them as a major contender in their conference. It's totally his fault he didn't get drafted by a team like the Seahawks that only needed a QB.

Ya, I disagree, tbh..
Like CN said, the media loves Luck, tbh..other than Manning, he's probably the most discussed QB in the NFL at the moment..
Only because of his high profile wins. If he had lost to the Broncos instead of fleeced them, no one would be as high on him. But before the season Luck was ranked 4th behind Wilson, Kap and RG3 in the "young QB" category. As much as Jim Irsay likes to tweet about how he's rebuilding the Colts to not fall apart without their QB, they would not be 5-2 without Luck.
I don't watch a lot of ESPN and the NFL channel so I don't know if they're sucking Luck's all day long. All I know is that Avante and Trill Clinton think Luck isn't as good as RG3 and Wilson and their opinions are the ones that matter.
No idea why RGIII or Kae gets more respect than Newton.
luck gets no respect. This is worse than my Wilson under the radar quote tbh
If the other receivers still risk their knees trying to make acrobatic catches for Luck's inaccurate throws, then that's a sure sign of respect.
I think Creepn is the biggest racist on ST tbh
The Colts/Chargers game I was referencing was before the Colts/Donks game.... Luck was getting slurped so much by ESPN in the runup to that game that the Philbilly joked that he "didn't even know who the Colts were playing" that night in the postgame interview.... the commentary was just as bad![]()
Luck is well respected imo. Before the year wilson and kap and rg 3 may have been rated higher by some but lucks had
More progress in his 2nd year
Wilson and RG3 had great seasons last year while Luck (in some peoples eyes) struggled so its understandable the media slurped them. RG3 has sucked 4/6 games this year so the media has lightened up on him but Wilson will still get all the headlines because of his teams situations.
Luck does get respect IMO, as ClipperNation said he got slurped throughout the Chargers game and his wins against good teams have made him the talk of the media.
#99 was cheap shotting all game. IMO any good quarterback woulda probably tried to draw that penalty.
Everybody loves luck, I don't know what the this guy is talking about.
Really, all three of the big-name QB's from last year's draft class have been hyped up by the media since day one, tbh.... just be glad that ESPN is actually hyping up good players for once and not scrubs like Tebow![]()
I don't remember Wilson being hyped up until after the Fail Mary game where they opened up the playbook. IIRC, ing Weeden had more hype than Wilson
tbh i remember reading somewhere that Shanny wanted Wilson and that it was Snyder who was behing the RG3 move. Im a fan of RG3 and all but Wilson+ our first round picks would be nice. Then again, who knows how he plays without a top 3 defense and a top 3 run game.
