Pretty accurate - except that it should be pointed out - that even if we were aware of the others presence - no direct insults had been slung - until that one.

The reason I brought it up is not because of any hurt - but because this wtf feeling you described to skull is exactly my wtf feeling for the first couple of years for me.

Always - some poster I had not even heard of - I just pm'd DMC the other day for the exact same reason - to ask wtf - why do you even have a problem with me?

This is how it feels when posters are in some e gang and just attack you because their buddies are against you.

I have grown used to it - but it was interesting for me to see you experience it - and now you have an inkling of that wtf - who are you - feeling that I have on an almost daily or weekly basis.

You don't have to admit it - but most of your animosity and/or hostility towards me - is because of "who" was against me. After the insults - then yeah - it was hostility borne out of those insults. In the beginning - the same thing you accused skull of - is the same thing - you did when relating to me.

Before you are inclined to give me a wtf, I am interjecting here just to say this has also happened to me, by DMC and to a certain extent also by fuzzy.
Why? I can only surmise at the motivations, just like you.

I suspected they wanted to lure me into some sort of pissing contests with them for no better reasons than they disagreed with my assertions, and/or that they got some sort of sadistic amusement from doing so.

When I recognized the ploy and refused to be baited, then all that was left for them to do was resort to feeble attempts to ridicule me, or my opinions.
That describes what is called "hostile debating of an issue", and it serves no constructive purpose except to rile someone to return insults in kind, and basically give an emotional response rather than an intellectual one.
It is definitely not the way to carry on a civil discussion, or debate.

My point is, after spending the time and effort to give them a decent reply, which in turn was met by their hostile responses to that reply, I was left with "wtf", and "who are you".
Yet I still reply occasionally to them, but I do so with a very dubious and much wiser at ude.
