Ayres had a good game, but I am not sold on him at all. Partly because of what his contract meant for the Spurs off season, but also because I don't see a really strong skill that is bankable on a consistent basis on either side of the ball yet. Tough system, new role and limited minutes so I get that, but I am not impressed at the moment.
Very solid game tonight though and he actually had a really nice interior pass for an assist that impressed me very much.
Much, much better game from Jeff Ayres tonight. Keep it up, and GREAT finishing tonight at the rim. He just needs to get some confidence in his jump shot, possibly tweak it, and start taking a couple of them each game. He is a very decent passer too.
Marco was fantastic off the bench. I hope Marco can keep improving, and hopefully Chip can work with him to make him an even deadlier shooter. I haven't watched Beli enough throughout his career, but another poster mentioned - it looks like Chip may have already made a small change to his shooting form? If Marco can become an over 40% 3 point shooter on this team, then he can be really, really deadly for us out there.

-Great game from Beli. Just an overall smarter player than Gary tbh.
-Ayres was much better. Hopefully he can build on this game and become a solid 4th big.
-Kawhi needs more looks. Either Pop or Tony need to make getting him steady touches a focal point going forward tbh.
Timmy's just missing jump shots, nothing really to worry about.
Boris and Belli - very nice play off the bench.

Awful shooting night for Timmy, but nobody played more than 26 minutes. Boris picked up the slack nicely. Another easy win...NEXT!

Also, looks like Ayers got a nice shot in on Wall's eye. Looks like a fighter after going 5 rounds.
SPURS SHOP SUCKS---
I wanted to get a Camo jersey . I have asked at the Spurs shop for the last three weeks
when they were coming in. No one at the Spurs shop had a clue! No one knew when ....
Since tonight was the big military appreciation night and the Spurs were promo the
out of the event. We got to the arena early. As soon as they dropped the tape we were
at the shop. They were on the rack as you come into the front door to the right.
There was only Manu, Tim and Tonys jersey in camo. No other player, that includes Lenard
and Green who did the promo in the jerseys had a jersey on the rack. They had about 25 of each
player (Tim,Tony, Manu) on the racks with small-XL on that rack. In about 2 min. all the
large sizes were gone. They had some military camo type ball caps but the caps
were $46. The jersey came in at $126.00 + tax. I thought they would have a Lenard jersey
since he was in the photo promo for them but I was wrong. I could get one of the jerseys
after the game. The Spurs were going to sell all tonight's team worn jerseys at a auction.
You also got it autographed and a photo with you and the player. I didn't bother to go
because I don't own oil wells or hit the Powerball.
This is the most suck job from the Spurs I have ever seen in all the years I have gone.
I will not buy anything from that shop this year. That shop can Kiss my Ass......F*** em

Agreed on all counts. This was definitely Ayres best game yet as a Spur.
