These pretzels are making me thirsty
Only if the Spurs can re-trade for Paul George. How did we ever let him go in the first place?

popovich won't allow it. if they would get close to it, he'd sit the starters for the rest of the season if we had the #1 seed wrapped up. it's how he works.. u know this by now..
According to Hubie Brown, Spurs are currently coasting at 70% and Duncan has not even bothered to show up yet. If Hubie is right, and let's be honest with ourselves, when is Hubie ever NOT right? If Hubie is right, we can easily achieve 72-74 wins even with Pop's tank jobs.
Then once playoffs come along Spurs can finally turn it up to 90-95ish percent and easily win out the playoffs.
I swear I saw this same post last year sometime.
No way Pop will let them get that record. Too much pressure to carry into the playoffs. Also, if their record was approaching that number, they probably have the number one seed locked up so you know Pop would rest key players for the playoffs.
Ask me again in April...
We are gonna play celtics, memphis, 76ers, utah, suns, wizards, raptors, curryless warriors, struggling nuggets, lakers and portland all the way?
If thats the case, I agree, 72 wins no problem.
Not likely, they'll start coasting 1 or 2 months before the playoffs begin. I believe the team has the capability of doing it but I don't think they'll do it. They'll probably sacrifice several games to rest their old-legged pivots (like the away game against Miami last season, for which they got fined 250k dollars)
Don't get so excited, the Spurs have had a soft schedule so far and will not win 70 games. They played GS without Curry and last night Gasol goes down injured and opens up another easy win for the Spurs.
Wouldn't surprise me if we did cause this team is that deep & that good. We'll win 60+ for sure tho.
No. They have a shot at the #2 seed in the West though.![]()
ESPN and mute, match made in heaven

Ok, it looks like we have 11chickens and 61 eggs... So I guess we have 72 chickens.
Wait, WTF! Is this for real?
no
Yeah every year they have a page where they choose the two teams who they think have the best chance of beating the Bulls record. Why they chose the Lakers is beyond me![]()
We still won 50 games in the lockout season, when Pop took his foo of the gas. That was our second best winning percentage (we would have won about 62 had it been a regular season).
Its not like he will intentionally try to lose games. We were still very compe ive in the games where two or 3 of the big 3 sat,
Come back to us in 40 games on this topic
Well of course. Maths don't lie.
If anyone has a chance of matching that mark I'd probably say Indiana. They've been pretty hot so far, and they have the biggest advantage of all: the Eastern Conference. The West is stacked with serious talent and the East is just a joke.
Seriously. Check the standings.
There are only four teams in the East that have a winning record (Indiana at 11-1, Miami at 9-3, Atlanta at 8-5 and Chicago at 6-5). The next best record is Toronto at 6-7. That means if the playoffs started today the East would feature four teams with losing records. Yikes.
The West by comparison currently has tons more depth. Nine teams have winning records, and another two are .500 teams. That means that of 15 teams in the conference only four have losing records. That's some serious depth.
So Indiana featuring an East-heavy schedule seriously favors them.
