You are just deflecting. Who cares how much he's getting paid? When you are the undisputed GOAT PF you shouldn't be reduced to 39.6% production. Food for thought: the Mailman's lowest shooting percentage was 45.4% - in his 17th year. , even in his 19th year (more wear and tear, more bumps/bruises due to his style of play, and more minutes played than Duncan), he was still shooting 48.3%. Bottom line: 39.6% is pathetic no matter how much you farmers try to spray Stetson or Brut cologne on his sandwich production.
That's why Kobestans are stupid and cannot be taken seriously. Has the year gone by already? Is 12 games a full season?

Karl Malone had a twelve game stretch in 2002-03 season (games 9 to 20) where he shot 39.1% from the field. He shot 38.2% from games 13 to 24.

Just stupid people drawing stupid conclusions with incomplete data sets.

Only -5 points because you're a GNS , and you probably don't know any better. After The Eviction! it became Kobe 2, Shaq 1. Let us proceed.
Just joking. I dont really care about that alpha thing.

As much time as you took to create this thread. Not to mention all the responses you put in.

Serious question. I'm just curious as to what you believe is a sample size big enough to start criticizing a player's numbers. If 12 games is not enough, what is? 25 games enough? Half a season or about there with 40 games? 50 games? 75 games? Or does it have to be a full season? If it's a full season and a player only plays 60 games in a season due to injuries and what not, can you not analyze or criticize his numbers?

Career over 50% though so 14 game in at 39% I would not cry over TBH..... He will pick it up eventually.

    I did.

    Why not answer my question?
Because you are asking the wrong question and I am not obliged to answer any question you throw at me. If all of a sudden I am asking why your mom doesn't shave her legs, are you going to answer?

The post I was referring to explicitly compared a 12 game continuous sample of Duncan's game to full seasons of Karl Malone, which is an apples to oranges comparison. I am not exactly sure what you are trying to draw out of that conversation by asking me what is a representative sample when it has absolutely NOTHING to do with my response. In other words, your original question either speak to you not reading the post to which I responded to, or it shows that you have no idea of how sampling works.

There are plenty of sampling best practices out there taking into consideration margin of error and such, but NONE will ever take 12 consecutive sample and call it a representative sample of anything. Unless, of course, the final population is 12 samples.

Grown men are talking, we don't need someone who can't understand the simplest cap implications in a conversation with numbers it in.

You're a weirdo. When there's a discussion, not every comment/post is 100% directly related to every other previous comment/post. It was a pretty simply and straight forward question. If you didn't want to answer it, just say so instead of being a ing about it. Smh. Jesus christ you're odd.

So me stating comparing a 12 game continuous sample to a full season cannot be taken seriously is not a direct enough answer for you? You read the response wrong and assumed things out of thin air and got called out and I am the weirdo?

    JHill >>> Tammy? Let's see:

    Tammy:
    2013-14 Stats
    PPG 11.3
    RPG 7.0
    APG 3.0
    SPG 0.2
    BPG 1.8
FG% 0.392 - down by 0.4%. Can I change the le of this thread?
    FT% 0.721
    3P% 0.000
    MPG 27.4

    JHill
    2013-14 Stats
    PPG 9.8
    RPG 8.9
    APG 1.2
    SPG 0.4
    BPG 1.0
    FG% 0.545
    FT% 0.639
    3P% 0.000
    MPG 22.9

JHill is out rebounding him, shoots a higher percentage, has more spg, and plays 5 less mpg than him. Tammy has more assists only because his teammates (who are carrying him) are better. Tammy only has 0.8 more bpg 1.5 more ppg than JHill too. Salaries: Tammy $10.3M. JHill $3.5M

Verdict: JHill is the better player. He's a decade younger, makes $7M less, and is producing more.

Jim does more than just score and rebound on the court imho. Dude's still the hub for his team on both ends of the floor, contributing to his team in the form that can hardly be measured simply by his stats imho

I think I should compare apples to apples here. To further put this stain into context, in his 19th and final year in the NBA, Shaq was 503lbs, but he still shot 66.7%. By then he was a massively rotund TOSB, on his 4th team after The Eviction! ring chasing with them Boston Bums in a futile effort of trying to catch Kobe.

Shaq is a big. Tammy is a big. What excuse does anyone 7' have for shooting anything less than 50% tbh? 39.2% is even patheticker than I originally thought.

Can't wait to see Porkins, Iblocka, and Collison run a welcomed train on his ass in the WCF. Choo-choooooooooo!

    I didn't read anything wrong. I didn't assume anything.

All I asked you was what is enough of a sample size to start criticizing a player's numbers. That's it. That's all.

You assumed I was trying to call you out or correct you. I wasn't. It was a simple question. You went into mode. That's fine. Forget I asked anything.

    Yes, you're the weirdo.

39.2% is Brandon Jennings' territory. If you are 7' this is the epitome of fullness.
