nah, you don't need heavy moderation, just some balanced moderation imo. even before, some good posters were banned upstairs for no other reason than upsetting the patrician class. that is pretty gay. There are some great trolls that don't need moderating, just pink a few s now and again.

there used to be so many shticks going on at any given time that you had to pay attention and actually be somewhat intelligent in order to keep up. the board self regulated because there were so many cold blooded posters they'd just make a troll cry slink off tail tucked if they got too far out of line. and there was automatic troll creation and some of them were pretty creative, never knew who was talking to who etc.
