Texas gonna get Les Miles
Jesus, is there ever a coaching vacancy where Gruden isn't on the list (regardless of the fact it will never happen).
I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Charlie Strong, tbh.
nah but da ohio st coach now

I think he's overrated. Not sure he's a big enough name, either
Dabo Sweeney is another one...Not sure he's worth it without his offensive coordinator, though
Dabo is Mack 2.0, a pussy coach who blows every big game and can't beat his rival, tbh.....
Of course you would got. You're obsessed, but it's good though since you'll be stuck with Sumlin.
So mad that you were so wrong...![]()
You're the biggest joke on this site.
Aggy
Mack to College Station in a couple years
At least Mack had 3 BCS bowl victories (including a national championship) under his belt before he got a $5M per year contract... what the has Kevin Sumlin done to earn that?
Urban Meyer is prbably a good candidate. He's a front runner leaving Florida for OSU. I could easily see him leaving the trash 10 conference and going to UT.
Aggy
Sumlin two stud QBs and no conference championships
Can't recruit defense
5 million per
OSU has almost the same amount of money Texas has and one tenth the drama going on, he plays in the weakest of all the conferences and he is in the power school of that conference. Not sure why he would want to even look at Texas outside of wanting a raise.
I would love to have him, but I think he is only interested in getting a raise.
most coaches love another big name school when their names come up because it translates to a raise in many cases. but most coaches stay where they are already at if that school happens to be a bama or an OSU. the last time I saw a big name coach make a lateral move (from one year to the next) to another big name school was when roy smith left kansas to go to UNC. and no, lane kiffin does not count as a big name coach and going from tennessee to USC was probably an upward move.

great article written by a former player
Slurped for a mediocre record with Sherman's recruits

funny how all the non-UT alumni suck this dude's . it's true that he set the standard that he fell victim to, but when you have the highest grossing program in the nation, you shouldn't be mediocre. i'd understand if this was the NFL and everyone is a professional, but UT is supposed to be a powerhouse, and college is where players are developed - not recruited and then shoved in a game and expect their talent to win.
