I dont care for it. I find it funny that one month, people are giving thanks for what they have (thanksgiving) following day they go out and get a bunch of (black friday) and then about a month later ask/look forward to getting more stuff(christmas)

Christmas is basically time with family, drinking, and watching NBA games. I don't do the gift exchange . It's also my birthday, so I grew tired of the big parties at an early age.
I can take it or leave it. I like that it brings people together around food and drink but beyond that it's just a commercialized time of year. Hallmark ready, prepackaged and always gets worse every year.
Who cares? Why do people care so much about others' beliefs? If it makes them feel all warm and fuzzy inside then let them.

I love Christmas, and its for the kids, and since I have two boys, its just awesome to watch them tear open presents.

Christmas "magic" is truly about little kids so if you don't have any of those around, it's just another holiday. As it is I was never a big fan because my mom was a very depressed person and the holidays were always just one big emotional breakdown and the drama far outweighed the joy. But I'm thankful now for any opportunity to see my relatives and friends, hoist a few and have some laughs.

It's not even that I believe in any of that stuff. It's the fact that, because you read something online, you feel like you are an expert on religious subjects. You sound just as stupid as the ones you are arguing with about Christmas.
They read a couple of scriptures and think they know everything there is to know. You wiki something and think you are an expert.
When the zombie apacolpyse happens you both will claim that you are right. The religious zealots will say that it is their deity that is seeking revenge on the sinners. People like you will say that it is a bacteria or virus that has evolved and is defending itself against humanity.
