Harden drives to the basket and sells contact.
"sells contact" he's ing pitching that harder than Jonah Hill in Wolf of Wall Street. And clearly the refs are ing re ed enough to buy it since he literally just played a game where he got superstar treatment that nobody else in the ENTIRE ING HISTORY OF THE LEAGUE (Jordan, Wilt, Kobe, Durant, etc) has gotten.

Drive to the basket, you get calls. That's today's NBA.

That's the NBA of the past 40 years. The new addendums to that rule are (1) Sell enough of your jerseys that Fuehrer Stern deems you a protected star*, and (2) flop your ass off.

*if needed, increase your fanbase with gimmicky like re ed looking beards and mohawks.

You still have to actually be fouled, not just invent one like Harden does damn near every time he has the ball

Manu, Wade, CP3, Durant, etc. flop, but at least they have actual skills to make up for it..... if Harden had his way, he would only score from the free throw line

True. Harden drives to the basket and draws the foul. Slap across the arms or whatever, alot of the time it works. It's not flopping, drawing fouls is part of his game. He does flop, but not enough to get 25 free throws. A foul is a foul. And he draws them.

So it's ok to flop unless you're Harden?

Flopping sucks no matter what, but it's especially lame when you do it as much as Harden does (i.e. all game, every game)....

I actually hate when CP3 flops because that means he's too focused on the refs and not the game, he's far better when he's just focused on playing.... the same could be true for Harden if he ever went a game without flopping....

No Harden does not do it all game. Watch the game, watch him drive and get fouled. Paul's flopping is another thing entirely. But if they don't like it, either stop it or shut up about it. And that goes for Durant too.

It's never okay. It's just especially egregious when its the only way you can score points. At least in the past Harden showed other skills and was entertaining to watch. Once he got his newfound "superstar" status all he ever ing does is chuck 3's JR Smith style, or flop his way to the line. It's boring, it's bad basketball, it's an insult to the game, and it's a kick in the nuts to anyone who appreciates smart basketball.

Flopping is not the same thing as drawing fouls. If I jump into the defender, and he slaps my wrist, that is not a flop.

Already reduced to semantics? You're better than this, sn....

Inventing contact, like Harden does when he extends his arms and snaps his head back, is flopping to me, and Harden is the worst offender....
