    I think it's a good gamble. Cutler still has the potential to be a top 5 qb in the league. If he stops being such an idiot he may be able to turn the corner.

    Maybe having kids and being married and will help him on the field.

    He's already 30. And he's coming off a season in which his backup outplayed him. Dunno how that screams lucrative long-term deal.

    And at ESPN saying Cutler was underpaid by being "only" 11th in QB salary last season.

    Is it really so hard to find QB in this league, so borderline decent starters such as Flaco, Romo or Cutler are paid almost 20mil ? Flacco sucks, had great run, but sucks. Romo and Cutler are pick 6 machines.

    Terrible decision. Better off signing McCown for the short term and drafting a young QB for the long-term while spending the extra money on defense. Just poor management right there. Cutler is not a franchise QB and he's getting paid like one.
