Baynes time!
I guess Baynes is going back to the D League so Pop is not forced to play him.
See ya after the ASB Golden God..
Maybe this will actually force the spurs to wake up and start trying tbh. Matty better be on target for the next month and Baynes better be ready to play ball. Here's his chance.
Mario Chalmers is probably the most upset about this since he won't get the chance to dunk on him and block 2 of his shot attempts when we play the Heat on the 26th.
This is how I'm seeing it.
tbh if he does play, at least there's a chance he'll play well 50% in at least half of the games he's in. while that's not great, it's better than Airs and his wetting the bed every game.
Good...test the Spurs depth and get needed development from relatively new frontcourt players. Perfect time for a moderate injury.
As I said in the other thread, not unexpected seeing Tiago history in recovering from injuries... He'll be back post-ASB if there are no setbacks and hopefully he can pick up where he left off... fortunately this injury also prevents him from practicing that horrible hook shot, so it's not all bad, tbh...
Beautiful! Well done!
Boris or Baynes should start tbh.
but Baynes better get minutes either way.
I wish...but Baynes obviously has not gotten over himself, and Ayers got over himself quickly, so quickly in fact that he changed his name before the season started to prove it to Pop
reminds me of this tweet from earlier in the day:
uh, no Pop, Splitter played decent his first year; you just didn't play his ass and got ass ed by Memphis in the playoffs because of it. Ayres is cut from the same cloth as Kwame Brown, except not as good as Brown
Fixed that for ya.
Splitter is expendable. Spurs will get in a winning streak from now. No more waste in the court.
And it doesn't hurt Splitter made out of glass and soft ass toilet paper.
I swear if we start Ayers instead of Diaw...
He's actually had only one or two bad games in his last dozen.
Why is it that every time Tiago starts playing well, he gets injured?
CIA Pop
Pop spouting more bull . Not surprising coming from the same man that called Keith Bogans our "centerpiece" on defense a few years back.
Also, like to add that having Ayres replace Splitter will just make the starting lineup even worse than it's already been the past few weeks. Diaw's the obvious choice but I doubt Pop goes that route since he's been pretty incompetent with rotations this year(probably a result of having a ty coaching staff).

It could have been worst. Some shoulder injuries are season ending.
Spurs defense has been ty when Tiago hasn't been on the court. Other bigmen will seriously need to up their defensive level to compensate Splitter's loss.
Regarding the rotation, I would go with Parker/Green/Leonard/Diaw/Duncan as starting unit.
