that's dirty. He ran right at him.
Sounds like a penalty to me, if Welker had the opportunity to move out of the way
that's dirty. He ran right at him.
If you pause at the 0:05/0:06 mark, it looks pretty bad.
On the very next series, the Pats hurt DRC on almost the exact same play....weird that bill didn't mention that.
Welker is cold blooded for that one
He should have. I don't think it belongs, period. The Broncos are only the example because it happened on a grand stage with a very negative result that compounded its very nature of inequality. I have no issue with Denver, and I actually like a lot of their players.
Why would he? He's just a ing whiner who's SB winning days are over.
Who is DRC?
Can we get a link to his being taken out?
Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie...don't have a link, I was at the game and saw it and then they showed it on the jumbo tron....
One thing I failed to mention though is that the Pats got penalized for offensive PI on their play while Welker did not...which according to Mile Preria (sp?) was the correct no call on the Welker hit
DRC came back in too...cause he's not a pussy
Belichick was asked later during the news conference if "pick plays," such as the one he accused Welker of, are common and if Denver runs them more than other teams.
"I'd say most all teams in the league do it. They do what they need to do,"
I hope they run a couple of pick plays on sherman. Lol it would be so funny to see welker or decker lay that classless jig out...
If your memorie jots the time of game, let us know.
I just ran the series where Pattycake ended up scoring a field goal to make it 10-3 but did not see nor was there any mention of DRCs being taken out in that series.
I got to hear what Preria says also.
Bellicheats admitting that all teams do it makes it appear that within the players themselves, most would say Talib needed to be more alert rather then calling Welkers play dirty.
Don't get me wrong i think the NFL allowing this is bull . Which we know player safety is a joke anyways.
Former Vice President of Officiating Mike Pereira said the hit was not a foul, because the ball touched the receiver's hands "about the same time" as Welker made contact with Talib, which would make the hit a standard block, and not pass interference.

I will watch the game again when I get home and see if they show it...maybe it wasn't the next series, I thought it was but I could be wrong.
I'm sitting in DIA as we speak waiting for my 9 AM flight to finally leave this ing place right now though.
Belicheat ran this play before the Welker hit...check mate

derp
So y he mad
Oh you mean the play where Austin Collie already had the ball and Edelman threw a block for his runner?
Yeah, that looks exactly like Welker's illegal pick before Demaryius touches the ball.
lol are you really this re ed?
Austin Collie already has the ball. Edelman is blocking for him. Don't be purposely obtuse. Your team got away with one, and Talib is a pussy. That's that.
even if they threw the flag on welker, the deed was done, and the game was won
Well sure, even if Talib was healthy the Patriots were going to lose that game. Playoff Brady and his famous ty deep ball lost the game.
But I don't want to hear got Broncos fans going "Belicheat did the exact same thing to DRC" when it clearly is not even remotely the exact same thing.
It was certainly a dirty play, tbh, but Welker is like 5'9 180 pounds..
Not only is that minuscule for an NFL player, but it's around the size of the average American male..
