ESPN's Chris Mortensen said NFL executives are impressed with Rex Ryan's twin brother, but want him to look the part. 'They want a CEO-type,' Mortensen said of the long-haired Saints coordinator.
"A trip to the barber could go a long way in advancing Rob Ryan’s career", NFL executives told ESPN’s Chris Mortensen.
Rob Ryan acts the part of an NFL head coach, he just doesn't look it.
According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, many NFL executives are "truly impressed" with the New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator but will never consider him for anything beyond an assistant position until he cuts his long hair....

But seriously, it's too bad they're judging him on his appearance. His brother has done well, and I'm sure he'd fair well himself as they likely have a similar mindset. The Bubba's would probably slurp this up, so I'm surprised a Bible Belt team hasn't given him a shot to be the man. Or even somewhere like Tennessee. A little bit of a stretch for middle america perhaps, but winning just about trumps everything.
He'd be the face of a billion dollar organization...not to much to ask a guy to take a shower, shave, and get a haircut imo.
If he does that, he'll look exactly like Rex Ryan did 3 years ago.
I know this doesn't seem like a big deal and is overblown (and there's some truth to that), but looking presentable and professional is usually the smart thing to do when going to an interview
I'm glad he doesn't get a haircut. He was the best coach on the Saints this season.
The with the haircut a diet is in order..
