Brutalis the weather is great i love santa ana winds and they are herei actually came back from up north and the weather was beautiful up there a lil chilly but thats how i love it.
To expound on it, this is the highest scoring game any of us have ever seen...
Saying he only had 2 assists or shot the ball too much is just reaching for a reason to knock Kobe...

But yeah i don't think he should be criticized, and i could care less about shaq and Kobe. I really find it fairly predictble with this Laker team, no one else can score so why not go for 81.
I say go for the record scoring average of 50 something ppg Wilt had back in the day then. Doesn't mean he will hit half the shots the throws up but it's worth a shot against those Raptors caliber teams!
Phil Jackson wasn't to happy about it either. Like adidas and i were saying earlier it is a bit disheartening because the trend with this team continues with their stagnant offense.
But what is being overlooked is the flashes of defense the lakers showed in the 2nd half with the press, and the tough help defense. It was good to see and hopefully it carries on to other games.
I believe the lakers are coming up on a 7 game road trip after their game with golden state, they will be facing good teams, and we shall see how this team responds. They have to face Detroit, Knicks, Indiana, Dallas as well as other teams so it will be key how this team responds.

Say what you will about Kobe, but 81 points is just a ridiculous performance.
The entire Spurs team scored 4 more points today than Kobe did. He just about single-handedly outscored the Washington Wizards, too (82-81).
He isn't the greatest teammate and he does a lot of other things that understandably drive some people mad, but you cannot deny that Kobe Bryant is an amazingly talented individual player and I think you're just plain hating if you don't acknowledge that.

it really hasnt set in that he scored 81. its all about the W. thats why he turned it on (in the 3rd) then it just turned into something special. wanted to keep riding the wave and demoralize oponents and "just turned into this" says he cant admit to grasping the importance of a night like this yet. hasnt sunk in.

"its like on some Jedi type of thing" (smiles). phil and him have been through so many battles.he plays the game to try and please phil. "if hes happy with my performance, it makesme happy because i learned the game from him. he taught me how to play. if im not playing the right way.... if hes dissapointed, i take it pretty hard." phil told kobe he was proud of the way he played tonight. it makes him feel good to hear that from phil.

Compared to Dallas, the points tonight were more gratifying cause "we needed them". lakers were down and needed to get out of hole they were in. "the points i put in the basket were instrumental for regaining that momentum and energy. It means way more (than the dallas game)
