He was on the Grizzlies. Detroit wasn't so good, but the Grizzlies were a great opportunity for him to show he was worthy of bigger minutes. He couldn't earn them, though.

Your bonner hate is making say some very stupid things..just stop please
anyone think shannon brown stays with the team?
Nando is way better than Brown too. Pop just didn't want to play him for whatever reason and it's no surprise Nando likely asked to be traded.
Daye is on his 4th team and counting. Bonner, while he is not a great player, is very good at what he does. Yes, he's limited, but he shoots threes and he tries on defense. We don't need him all the time, but in spots, he can be effective. Daye couldn't get himself into the rotation on the Raptors, habitually one of the worst teams in the NBA.
Clark and Turner may get bought out. Clark's more likely.
Daye has 250k guaranteed for next season.
What are the chances Daye doesnt even stay around?
Agree there is no huge risk being involved as his salary is very little. De Colo was gone this summer anyways, and wasn't going to get any playing time with the way Mills has been playing. Spurs had more of a need for a player above 6'3 even if he isn't one of the best in the league. Maybe a change in scenery can be for the better.
No. I think they go after a buyout player with his spot. With Manu, Green, and Marco, he is not needed.
You are seriously trying to justify Bonner?
Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA
Indiana has traded Danny Granger to Philadelphia, league source tells Yahoo Sports.
spurs took the worse player, and have the other team a 250k break in their cap for next year.
Bonner has improved a whole lot. I think people go a little overboard with the hate.
I miss Nando already. Over under 5 20+ point games against the Spurs?
I mentioned Earl Clark in my FA thread earlier this season, I'd love to have him, tbh..
He's a product of the D'Antoni system, so I don't think he could be as good as he was last year, but he's still a proven defender(only player that played D on last year's Lakers other than Dwight and MWP) that can make the 3..
Wow wonder for who....
Welp, out of left field. They get Turner?
Damn, Indiana getting Turner or Young would be huge, tbh..
I don't get that move at all...
and 8 second round picks![]()
If it's for Young maybe I won't be mad. Granger>>>Bonner,De Colo,Joseph by miles![]()
Bonner is a great stretch 4. But the league is changing that stretch 4 from a power forward/center to a big small forward. That basically eliminates Bonner.
