Some notes from OrangeBloods...
-Watson has been in touch with QB Jake Browning of Folsom, CA recently and is expected to talk with him again this week. Browning says he wants to make his commitment in April but is open to pushing that back if Texas gets involved. He threw for over 5,700 yards and 75 TDs in his junior season.

-2016 OL JP Urquidez of Copperas Cove (about to move to Maryland) will be visiting Texas next week along with A&M.
24/7 has an update on 2016 WR Reggie Hemphill, anyone have the details?
Probably related to his recent twitter post which listed top 3 of Ags, OU and Baylor.
The Hemphill recruitment is over. Strong has offered 2016 receivers, it's obvious we don't want him.
The Hemphill update was basically about his top three. He said he hasn't heard from Texas in two months. Texas isn't out of it by any means, but they have a lot of ground to make up for, according to 24/7.
24/7 also reported that 6'5, 220lbs ATH Willie Hibbler of Panola North HS (Miss.). He is currently committed to Ole Miss, but said he plans to visit Texas during the summer.

This and he really wants to Texas to re-offer.
Said Strong offered him before leaving Louisville.
2016 RB Trevor Speights of McAllen Memorial has committed to Arizona.
5A first team all-state as a sop re.
Inside Texas reporting Coach Rumph spoke with OL Matthew Burrell of Woodbridge, VA this evening.
An offer should be coming soon.

OrangeBloods saying Strong had a lengthy conversation with CB Kendall Sheffield of Fort Bend Marshall last night and was told the staff would like to get him on campus as soon as possible to get acquainted. His family is now supposedly planning a visit. This recruitment seems to be picking up a little bit of steam for UT and I'm sure QB/ATH JW Ketchum's Junior Day experience is helping a lot.

After seeing this, it is not a surprise to me that he is such a good recruiter. Seems like one uva coach and person!
Quick quote from DE Keisean Lucier-South, from ESPN.
"Texas is in there, too. I want to go see the new coaching staff, like at USC. I want to get a good feel with them, because [former Texas coach] Mack Brown offered me and the new staff re-offered, but I want to start a new relationship with the new staff."
CB PJ Mbanasor of Pflugerville Hendrickson has de-committed from TCU.
Those coach interviews are great. Thanks for posting them. Makes me even more excited for the start of the season.
Inside Texas saying QB Kevin Dillman is no longer going to be an option for Texas and several other schools because of a lingering Achilles issue:
"Apparently Dillman got some bad medical advice. He tore his Achilles last year. Doctors in LA told them they needed to have surgery but the dad took him back to Sweden where a doctor told him he didn't need surgery. Even if he had surgery right after the injury he still would have had at least 7-8 months to rehab, if not more. Now he's here in Denton and there's nothing we can do with him. Truth be told, I heard he was having a terrible junior year before the injury and had he stayed in LA and had the surgery he may not have started this year. If he wants to play football in college he'll have to switch positions, assuming he gets the medical help he needs."
Cleveland Browns have cut QB Brandon Weeden after having him replace Colt in 2012:

Probably wrong place to ask but there are a bunch of Texas fans who follow kids into the pros.
What is Colt McCoys status now that SF picked up Gabbert?
You gotta think Colt's NFL days are numbered
Anyone seeing on Twitter that S DeShon Elliott is visiting on the 23rd with DE Charles Omenihu?
Maybe not, Ty Dietmer had a 14 year NFL career as a backup. Colt will find another team that needs a smart inexpensive guy to hold the clip board.
