Just realized I have all 12s over 5s save for Harvard/Cincinnati.

St Louis is overrated crap, so Xavier/NC State is really possible.
North Dakota State is damn good and has the feel of a real sleeper.
And Stephen F Austin intrigues me since I think VCU is coasting on past success.

I like Harvard, but Cinci is good.

I actually think Xavier beats NC State

Love TJ Warren. Shame you don't have CJ Leslie this year.

Why are these sports websites offering the same in' prize? Bull if you ask me. Yahoo, Fox Sports, and NBC Sports are all doing the billion dollar challenge . Pathetic.

Were up to 14 entrees. Keep em coming if you want to play. You have until the games Thursday morning to get it in. Hoping to get 20 people to have a total of $400.00 in the pot.

I wasn't that impressed with Cincy when I saw them int he Pit earlier this season. For some reason that I can't quite put my finger on I'm thinking Harvard is the best team of all time and they'll probably win it all this year.

No but seriously, I feel like this is the word seeding form the committee I have seen in a long time. No idea what the was being smoked in that room.

I like my Lobos to get into the Sweet 16 if Embiid doesn't play. I actually think last year's team was a bit better, but this year we seem a bit better as far as tournament play goes. Finishing the year 15-2 with one of those losses requiring us to choke at SDSU was pretty good. Our D is really underrated by most but our offense is really dependent on Cam Bairstow being the beast that he is.

I haven't finished my bracket yet so I'm not sure who I have winning it all, but I don't think it matters because with all the parity there's going to be a bunch of wrecked brackets really quickly.

Lobos got a pretty good draw and I could see them getting into the Elite 8 if they get past Kansas with no Embiid. I see them being able to handle Stanford and Syracuse isn't a lock by any means to get to the S16 at this point IMO.

Honestly I'm more worried about Stanford than either Kansas (with no Embiid anyway - with him we probably lose to them just like earlier in the year) or Syracuse. But I'm not sure how much of that is the sting from last year still fresh.

I have Lobos in Sweet 16 for two reasons, first, guy I know says Embiid is legitimately done, and, second, Alford isn't their coach.

Cincinnati is good. Nobody plays well in the Pit. That's one of the reasons why Arizona will never play there again.

    Friend emailed me this:

So these two charts, compiled by users over at reddit.com/r/collegebasketball, illustrate the results for teams that are <30 in adjusted O/D, and >100 in the opposite category:

    AdjO > 100, AdjD < 30

    AdjO < 30, AdjD > 100

This information might be useful as you fill out your brackets, but I think it's also useful where we have three of these teams in our bracket: Creighton (3), SDSU (4), and Baylor (6).

Statistically, it is extremely rare for schools that fall under either of these categories to even make it past the Sweet Sixteen. Combine that with Wisconsin's metrics (and Bo Ryan's tournament history) and the fact that Oklahoma is arguably the most over-seeded 5, and it's no surprise most models have us making it out of the West in a plurality.
We/Us he speaks of is Arizona.

The reason I'm sharing is the graphs.

Some gold in them charts. A few outliers, specifically on offense, but made me have to stop and think. I have both Cincinnati and North Dakota State winning a few games.

Another thing, in last ten years, every #1 ranked defense per possession team has won the le, since it's inception all but one le winner was top-20 in both Offense/Defense, 8 of last 10 le winning coaches had previously been to a Final 4, Pitino is perfect in the Sweet 16, and Sean Miller has never lost to a lower seed.

Arizona is the #1 Defensive Team in every major category. They are currently 1 in defensive efficiency and #35 in Offense, but they are a mere .4 from being tied for 20th. But Sean Miller hasn't been to a Final 4 yet, so unless he's the Tubby Smith/Gary Williams outlier type, something has to give.

Games start tomorrow morning. Can still join if you are interested. We're at 18 right now.

Make sure if you create a bracket to send me the money or get in touch before the games start tomorrow. Once the games start we will delete brackets for those who haven't payed. I've received from a couple of you guys already.

    Good luck.
