    What's different with the MVP award nowadays is the team record factor and who votes for the award. Players used to vote for the award, now the media does. Kareem won an MVP with a team record of 40-42. Kobe's team win 45 games in 06 but they give it to Nash since his team won 54.

    I said they generally don't win MVP, or Shaq and Hakeem would have more than one. MVP generally goes to guards, or forwards because that's who the game has been tailored to.
