Yeah, the guy that took over for Darabont is ty and has no idea what he's doing and its obvious. Which is why im baffled that this show still has so many viewers.
Thank you sir, I like how this guy put it on a walking dead forum
Sorry, haven't explained it very well. Darabont had that movie-like focus on the big picture whereas I think subsequent show-runners are too focussed on the episode by episode minutiae without having a grasp of the big picture story that they're trying to tell for the whole season arc. I think I've said it before that it's like they have to hit iconic points in the comic without having the answer to that fundamental relationship question "where is this going?"

That's a good analysis. To be fair, it's why I stopped reading the comics as well. it's clear Kirkman is just making this up as he goes along with no idea of how to wrap it up which is usually bad for any storyline IMO.
Planning an End Game: ” Well I think people have invested a lot of time in “The Walking Dead.” And a lot of emotional stuff. So people are invested in “The Walking Dead” and they wanna know that the guy that’s doing it isn’t just spinning his wheels. They want to know that it’s going somewhere. And so I think they don’t want it to end, or I hope they don’t want it to end, but they do want to know like “listen, when I’ve been reading this book for 30 years, and it finally ends, am I gonna feel like it was worth my time, or do you have no f**king clue what you’re doing? Tell me now so that I can get out.” And it’s like a tough thing. I do plan for it to go a long time, and I do have an idea of what I think will be a very significant ending and a really cool way to tie it all in and make it, you know, a huge body of work. I think that’s really the cool thing about this…
…I know how the next 12 people who die die, and why they die, and what happens after that. I know who lives to the end and I know why they live to the end and how they live to the end and what happens in the end. And you know, that may be 200 issues, it may be 50 issues. But it’s probably going to be a lot. I’m hoping. But I think when it’s all said and done it will make sense and it will be a satisfying ending, but the longer a series runs, the less the chance that it’s going to be a satisfying ending, so I dunno. It may be a disappointment to some people, but hopefully it’ll at least make sense and be a cool way wrap all that up, so we’ll see.”
Finally saw Sunday's ep.
...
Jesus s, that was the worst ep of this half of the season. Beta Cuck officially needs to die along with Maggie. Preferably have one of them turn and kill/eat the other. I'd rather the show revolve around the trying to find a zombie with the biggest pair of s week in and week out than watch Beta and Maggie be ing re s again.
And. When they got to Terminus. Talk about the most anti climactic ending ever. ty beta music? Check. Piece of little fence that's unguarded? Check. Flowers and other gay ? Check. Cliché person bbqing human flesh and being all nice? Check. Next week's ep needs to deliver. I'd almost rather watch the governor and Rick talk about things for a whole ep again.
Daryl's new group isn't gonna last. The whole tough guy schtick usually doesn't last too long in this show and a whole group of tough guys is bound to get killed off fast.
predictions for tonight's finale tbh? got a pretty good idea of where this ep is going based on the comic storylines but pretty sure they're gonna leave the Terminus thing as a cliffhanger for next season (prob a final shot of Beth locked up or something)...
Hope it's a great finale because I'll prob pass on any future seasons if it's too lackluster tbh.
^& their season finale(s) should always be 2 hours in duration.
Someone unexpected will die tonight.
You can't kill Carl.......

I'd rather have the 31 year old woman on the show than that little brat.
I'm not watching but I can pretty much guess the Terminus s are cannibals or some gay . Yay next season is gonna be nothing but that.
Well, not really a cliff-hanger and was to be expected. The show ing lags like no other. Holy . And from 8:50 to 9:00, there was 6 ing minutes of commercial and the usual gy 30-45 seconds of the Talking Dead. It's pretty obvious was AMC is doing. Just milking the whole damn thing, quality goes down. But what can you do about, people still tune in and the ratings aren't going down.
The show was good tonight. Rick freaking bit into someone's neck. Holy cow.
The only badass scene was Rick biting that guys jugular vein. That's it. Everything else was very underwhelming.
I liked the flashback to Hershel at the prison .
It's like the peace they had vs the unknown they face now. Oh and the powered milk. Makes me think Judith was there already?
I thought it was a waste of time personally. Hopefully next season, they prove me wrong.
Not a waste of time... See above what I wrote. Rick tried to live one way but obviously cant live like that . So he'll bite someone's neck and kill them for his son
Yeah, and spend close to 10-15 minutes of the shows 45 minutes just to get that point across. Again, waste of time and stupid.
good call by jeebus regarding Daryl's new outlaw group getting killed off fast
Rank the seasons of the show now that season four has come to an end.
I'd go:
1 > 2 > 4 > 3
I agree season three I didn't like the governor and the prison. I'm glad they are out and moving to another storyline. I don't want to lose my over not so great episodes but they shows been good overall and I think next season will be good.
Also did it seem like rick recognized Tara ??
season 4 was Ricks conversion from his farmer/pacifist stage, back to his badass self
Rick has been flip flopping all year..He was with the gov. "can't we all live together and get along to
you mess with my son and I'll bite your throat out"......Yes there is the cannibal slant as when Ricks
group was in the shoot out between the buildings, you saw a large group of bones that looked human ribs.
I guess they were Bar-B-Q up the last group that came by. Which one in the rail car will be the first
one on the pit when next season starts?
