What is the deal with all the big name receivers from a few years ago. Why are these kids this stupid?
Makes me wonder why u of Colorado is not the #1 recruiting school in the country.

Update on OL Madison Akamnonu of Arlington Bowie (24/7):
“I’m planning on going down to Texas for their spring game in a couple of weeks,” said Akamnonu. “I want to see that offense, especially the offensive line, up close. I’m going to be looking for that tempo and hustle that they have. A lot of teams are up-tempo, but they don’t hustle. I pride myself on being able to do both and that’s something Coach (Joe) Wickline says he expects out of his offensive linemen. We do that at Bowie so I’m all about that.”
“He’s (Coach Wickline) just such a straight forward guy,” Akamnonu said. “He doesn’t give you any BS. If he really thinks you have a chance at Texas, he’s going to tell you that. He’s going to let you know you can be successful there. That’s why we’ve hit it off. He’s a great coach and person. I like him a lot.”
“I can’t say I’d just commit right then and there,” he said. “I can say that the thought would definitely cross my mind. I mean, come on, it’s Texas.”

“It would be great to get that offer,” said Mbanasor. “But I can’t put everything on hold just because they told me to wait. I’m not the type of person to sit and dwell, so I’m not doing that. I can’t sit around and think, ‘Man I wonder why they aren’t?’ I have other schools interested in me, so I’m just pursuing that right now. That’s all you can do.”
OL Patrick Vahe on his commitment to Texas (24/7). He won the OL MVP at the Nike Football Training Camp in Dallas this weekend:
"I'm very firm to Texas," said Vahe. "It's a question I get asked a lot and each time my answer is I'm committed, 110 percent. That's the truth. After that visit I took to Austin a while back, it made me realize Texas was the place for me. I loved it. My family loved it. I want to be at Texas and that's the truth."

He is scheduled to make his commitment this Wednesday and is expected to choose Mizzou. He would be a third generation Tiger.
There is definitely a chance that'll happen.
Darron Payne had Texas in his top 4 even before they offered.
Tim Shuttle and fellow 5-star DE Jalen Dalton has talked about visiting Texas for an official visit together. Tuttle's favorite coach is Rumph.
Matthew Burrell said Texas most likely would be his leader if they offered, which they have.
Jeffery Holland said he would visit for an official visit.
Burrell and Holland are close with 5-star Tim Settle, and I believe they have talked about going to the same college.
Keisean Lucier-South loved Texas early on and wants to visit before his senior season.
DE/DL Sterling Johnson and DE Dorian Roseboro (both from North Carolina) are two other guys I know Rumph has a relationship with. I haven't heard anything about those two though.
Per his Twitter, DE James Lockhart of Ennis will be in Austin next weekend for the spring game.

FYI that 24/7 took CB Jalen Campbell off of the commitment list today even though he hasn't de-committed.
They don't feel he should be listed based on everything they've heard and the new staff hasn't officially offered him.

Inside Texas reporting both ATH Kirk Johnson and 2016 WR Collin Johnson of San Jose, CA will be back in Austin next Wednesday.

Per his Twitter, DT Du'Vonta Lampkin of Cypress Falls has received an offer from Texas.
He was a huge fan of both A&M and Texas before committing to OU last November.

24/7 saying OL Ronnie Major of Huntsville did not make it to UT last weekend, but he intends on visiting this weekend instead.
Also from 24/7, DE Isaiah Washington of New Orleans, LA is in the process of setting up a visit to UT with Coach Vaughn.
It will either be this weekend or he'll be in town for the spring game on the 19th.
