So I take it you don't want to play monkeyball next season? Will this affect whether you re-sign?
Real talk though, I'd much rather have pick #18 in a deep draft than a bench guy like Budinger.
My guess is they have some potential deals in place with teams that are based on the draft going down a certain way. If player A is off the board at pick B, Team C will trade the Rockets their pick for picks X, Y and player Z. Morey might have a few deals lined up like that, and I would imagine that his ultimate prize is very attainable, it would be very idiotic to put together a package for a certain player without having spoken to the team about what it would take to get the deal done.

Nah, Western Conference teams are trying to matchup against OKC first.
Rockets are trying to matchup against Utah and Denver first
Morey made two great trades, but he needs to pull something this year.
Budinger will never be a NBA starter because he can't play a lick of defense.
Dalembert has stone hands, low bball IQ. He is a decent placeholder at center. Old ass Camby starts over him. Apparently this Jon Leuer guy is a half decent backup.
dude has nothing to do with resigning that 7'6 ass which was one of the biggest failures the rockets ever endured in their franchise history tbh
