Don't they understand it regularly goes to -20 in Jan there?
The league got lucky last season that the weather didn't things up. Will they get lucky again in 2018? What are these people thinking, don't they understand what's really going on here? How does one party and enjoy the week long experience in cold ass sites? Then there's the game, how do we see the best teams playing their best in cold weather? What if it's snows?
Bullet Bob Hayes was the fastest man in the world, when he played in that famous frozen field game vs the Packers he was reduced to being no faster than a lineman. What does a guy like Barry Sanders do when he can't cut? What about the kicking game?
You don't want the weather coming into play in this game. Sure it's ok in the playoff games, there it is what it is, there is no choice to be made. To have a choice and awared THE BIG GAME to a cold weather site is stupidl.
Hmmmm. do the Vikings play in a dome?

You do know that the new Minnesota Vikings stadium is a retractable roof stadium, right?
I mentioned a dome.
But, there is more to this than just the game, it's a big media event with a lot going on. Does the NFL really need it's biggest event hampered by the weather in any way?
They've had 2 SuperBowls in Detroit, which should tell you that all cities are open for discussion.
They are continuing their practice of having the Super Bowl rewarded to those who fleece the public or spend massive amounts of money to build state-of-the-art stadiums. These stadiums, by the way, will be obsolete within a couple decades and so the cycle will begin anew. (SEE Braves)
