Refs in 6, imho
Spurs on a mission for revenge. But RefKC so Spurs in 7.
Won't matter...both teams are going to fail miserably at the hands of the anointed one.
spurs in 7... i can't see them closing out in OKC
Spurs in 6....
Which falls in line with my prediction awhile back. Phil will use Dolan not "cooperating" as an excuse to get out of NY and head to OKC to coach if they don't ring. He's only not coaching NY because there aren't good enough to ring right now.
I think Spurs get their revenge. It will be extremely tough and spurs will have to hit some clutch baskets
5 vs. 8 is a tough matchup, but I think Spurs take it in 7.
I feel the same way.
Damn! That'll be crazy if it happens.
The team fought hard for HCA.
We are going to need it. Spurs in 7.
Thunder in 6, Then Heat in 5 for #3.
i don't understand the spurs in 6 predictions... i doubt we'd be able to close them out at their house tbh
Ibaka going down makes this a whole lot more interesting. Splitter's been the Spurs' best defensive big this postseason, but he won't get hardly any playing time if Brooks plays Durant regular minutes at the 4. It'll be like the Finals again, Splitter couldn't guard Lebron at the 4--so he couldn't get any playing time.
The Spurs are a much less complete defensive team with Diaw/Duncan vs Splitter/Duncan. So the Thunder would definitely be at a huge advantage there.
But I think it's more likely that the Thunder just play KD at the 4 in crunch time and for short stretches with Adams/Collison at the 4. Pop has already shown that he closes games with Diaw, so that doesn't change in crunch time regardless. Splitter would love to have an Adams/Collison matchup. Far easier than what he's had so far. The Spurs would abuse the Thunder in those lineups.
So if KD can stay out of foul trouble and play a good amount of minutes at the 4, OKC in 6. But I'm not gonna hedge my bets with qualifiers, so I'll say Spurs in 7.
^ looks like I massively overrated Durant's defense and the Thunder's ability to take advantage of mismatches. I also didn't think Pop would actually play Duncan less minutes when he wasn't effective. (End of game 1)
Oh, and Jim Carrey has still done the best coaching job of the post season.
