He's stealing Patty's minutes, and deservedly so.
Because everyone else has played 2 straight games of gy layups and weak floaters against a team of shot blockers. If the Spurs are going to win the series they need to go into the body of Ibaka & co and/or dunk the ing ball.
Dojo of CoJo as I said before. Loved that dunk. I won't even say it's a moral victory, but I was glad the second unit showed some balls. Cojo was a big reason that we forced them to play their starters to the end, so that's a good thing.
Thank god he's Canadian so there's a chance he'll get some minutes next game tbh.
yup. beli should get the sefelosha treatment the rest of this series. kawhi should not be taking out of the game unless he's in foul trouble.
there are no saviors... I expect him to get some minutes over Danny next game though, especially if Danny can't find himself open from downtown...

I actually agree with you. Pop's allergic to having his three-best perimeter defenders in the rotation at the same time.
The only hope the Spurs have to win this series is to have Danny, Manu, Kawhi and Diaw go off from three. Need Danny in there. Might as well start firing off and hope for the best.
Pretty strange that you would rather bench the best perimeter defender on the team and a guy with a 60% TS in the playoffs, rather than benching the 2 worst Spurs in the playoffs,.
Cory earned minutes today...He defended the ball pretty darn well and most importantly he wasn't hesitating.

He should certainly get Beli and Cojos minutes. Possibly some of Green's as well. Looking forward to what Pop does with Cojo next game.

That'd be a terrible, terrible move since Danny is one of the few that has shown a semblance of having testicles out of the rotation players recently tbh. He had some terrible turnovers but you live with that considering how important he is in the series.
I've always said I thought Danny plays better at home. It's an eye-ball thing, haven't checked the numbers. That's why I would prefer he plays his usual minutes (or more).
But I think Pop is lost in his own thing.

He's got to play. He's the only guy who knows how to attack a shot blocker. You don't toss some weak stuff up there. You go right into his body. Plus we're going to need all the perimeter defense we can get. The only way we win is if we start playing defense. That should give us enough breathing room to find our offense.
Considering how poorly Patty has played, I'd say it'd be dumb not to give Cojo some PT next game. Not like we have much to lose tbh. Our backs are against the wall at this point.
I wouldnt seeing CoJo out there with Mills or Parker when the Thunder have Westbrook and Jackson out there at the same time.
