This is random, but how come Argentina never wears the dark blue away jerseys in the WC? They look so much better than the baby blue striped ones.

It's true. Whites sing cultural songs & sit quietly during the action. Blacks are there just to make noise: Dancing & blowing a horn during the game. Always trying to be a part of the action and upstage "the event". Have to make their presence known. Just look at their god damn Churches
In what sense of the word 'culture' is Seven Nation Army? They have been just as boisterous as any of the non-whites and let's not forget the hooliganism. Which, though, isn't much of an issue these days still was mostly perpetuated by the whites. Who cares what they do--it's about having fun and cheering for your team. Not some quite bull like this is Wimbledon. Might as well take up tennis if you want that uppity white nonsense .

I'm partial to the light blue striped jerseys. The white shorts may be a bit much but its pretty cool gear. Yeah, they wore the darker kits in the previous WC. The all white, though, it kinda not their style though.

Who sings Seven Nation Army? Which nation

I would find their behavior obnoxious & it would affect my experience if I were at the game sitting next to them. Which is what South Africa was like since local population takes a portion of each match

England was the first then I heard it during the German Match and Netherlands when they were waxing Spain. I give you the vuvuzela was a terrible thing and that would've pissed me off--but that wasn't a black thing alone. Everyone was blowing into those horns. I like it when the fans sing their native songs whether its the Indomitable Lions or the Albiceleste supporters. I think the horns do put me in partial agreement but I don't think it should matter. These people are dropping hundreds upon thousands to be at the game and as long as they aren't stabbing each other or really being aggressive in the way of how they support their teams, then it.

Agreed. IMO It should be strictly chants associated with the nation. 'The Wave' is also annoying

Yeah, I know it's the classic ARG colors, but I find the solid blue so much better this year:

It is just weird that they never wear them at all this year while other teams seem to alternate their jerseys game by game.

Didn't realize how often they wore solid blue in the past tournaments.

If you honestly don't think that a loud, constantly droning noise wouldn't affect the players then I don't know what to say. It clearly would affect communication, which in a team game is obviously crucial.

I don't see how this is hard to comprehend. It also made it nearly impossible to watch with any sound.

    According to google, SpG means:

Sarong Party Girl (also known as SPG) is a derogatory term used in Singapore and (to a lesser extent) in Peninsular Malaysia.
    Seems about right.

it. It has this soccer neophyte more interested. I have watched part of or complete games at a higher clip than usual. I've surpassed the 2010 viewership and we still have like a couple weeks to go.

Last world cup there were 7 American countries that made the round of 16, they all choke. This world cup won't be any different. Germany-Netherlands in the finals.

America has only two elite teams: Brazil and Argentina. When those two fail to meet expectations is normal for the latter stages to not have American teams. But it's not a matter of quality, is a matter of quan y. No matter how much Europe sucks they will always have the majority of teams in the latter stages just based on the numbers of teams they can get into the tournament.

Look at the 3 worst calls of the Tournament
    - Fred penalty vs Croatia
    - Dzeko's disallowed goal
    - Italian red card

All of these directly effected qualifying for Europe. Portugal is in the toughest group. The only obvious chokes are England & Spain. If Swizz & Russia qualify, I'll call it even.

South America benefits from no border changes. Europe is constantly changing (IE Yugoslavia) new teams rise & old teams fall. It's a huge advantage to be able to pencil in a World Cup appearance every 4 years. Financial commitment and national backing.
There are still many quality teams watching from home
    - Norway
    - Sweden
    - Slovakia
    - Turkey
    - Czech Republic
    - Ukraine
    - Hungary
    - Bulgaria
    - Poland

    and many more

No offense, you seem like an un-educated individual. Carry on with your smiley emoticons.
