I agree..... but you can have a game that never ends..... they should figure out something else. Penaldos shootouts are pathetic I agree, and typically favor the team that wasn't even trying to win the game.

soccer doesn't have multiple overtimes, just one overtime and if the game is still tied, penalty shootout.

He probably means "multiple overtimes" because the 30 minute period is split into 2. But you are correct it's just 1 with a break in the middle because if Team scores in the first 15 the match doesn't end.

Soccer can't have overtime because if it did, there might be like 5, 6, 7 or even 10 overtimes until someone scores. That's why they do ties.

Its just the group stage, there's OT and penalties in the knockout stage.

If the pts are tied then goal difference is the tie breaker, so I don't think we're safe in the 1/8 finals yet. The best snario is we hold the Reich to a draw, but if we lose the game we must ensure the margin is as small as possible. The goal difference between US and Ghana is only two which will certainly be erased if we lose while Ghana win, and if they beat Portugal by 2 or more goals, we're ed.
