patty, id say. not only his confidence, energy + skills (which i could talk about all day) are underrated but his team mentality of trying to boost the team on and off the court are unmatched by any person in the league.

Diaw. As of right now, not even close. Mills provides a very very nice bench scoring. However, Diaw is the integral part of the 3-big man rotation. Especially when TD and Splitter cannot play together against small teams like OKC and Miami, he is basically the liaison to everything the team does.

Well put it this way, who can most easily be replaced? Diaw is about as rare a "role player" as you can find in this league and he made less than 5 million this year. But he put himself in this position by incredible year at Eurobasket and an increased drive to be more aggressive. To matter and be a difference maker.

Mills helped you guys nicely in the regular season to fill in when Pop was resting TP. And helped clinch that #1 seed.

I'm not worried about the actual tournament. I'm worried about the practices that are scheduled to start a month from now, taking away much-needed rest for Manu when he claims that "every part of [his] body hurts."
And it's absolutely a selfish move from Manu. Argentina has 0% chance of doing anything of merit in this tournament, while the Spurs' chances of repeating next year - while slim - are at least non-trivial. The only people who support him playing are his re Manu-only fans who don't give a about what Argentina or the Spurs do as long as Manu has a good stat line.
Pretty sad that you act like Manu's the only player on this team or he's the MVP of the team. You know we have other guys who can step up and produce. Any player over the age of 30 on the Spurs who decides to play international ball this summer is selfish, plain and simple. Next year is literally our last or maybe (highly doubtful) second-to-last shot at a Duncan-era le and Manu has completely squandered it. He'll practice starting next month. He'll probably injure himself multiple times during the regular season as a result of his international play. He'll probably limp into the playoffs rusty and out of shape and he'll probably ensure that we get bounced out well before the finals. Thank you Manu
Still, you should not worry so much because unlike in the mid 2000s, the Spurs are really deep and Manu is not the second best Spur anymore. They can heavily manage Manu's minutes during RS. I think a 55 wins season with a 20 minutes Manu is to be expected.
